Of course the light goes out when you close the door!!! Maybe you should have put yourself in the fridge instead & found out for yourself!! When you're finally able to get the door open to get your "chilled-out" wife out, look on the side of the fridge & look for the little lite button. Push that in & watch the light go out while you're standing there on the outside looking in!! Or maybe take a picture, it will last longer.

of course it goes out, the most of the fridges have a button that is pressed by the door when it's closed and released when it's open, and then the light gets on
(I don't recommend you to do the same if you ever discuss about an oven)

The police will be knocking any minute now, but to answer your question, yes, the light goes out whenever the LIGHT BUTTON located on the door jamb is pressed, including when the door itself is closed.

Look for a switch that presses in on the hinged side of the door. When the refrigerator doors shuts it presses this switch and it turns the light off. If you see the switch you can push it yourself and it will go off.

-Tell her to make the temperature warmer by turning the knob usually located on top. Ofcourse you're food may go bad, you're choice. ^^
