I was never married to the father of my first three children and he pays court ordered child support.

If you are married but seperated or something similar, I believe that divorce is not necessary for child support. I would suggest getting in touch with a laywer (or legal aid) or your local domestic relations court clerk and getting more information.

no, my boyfriend was legally separted when he started to get child support, if someone an't helping with the child they helped to reproduce than they should help, go and talk to the child support board, or call and ask a lawyer or something, i live in tn. and their is alot of people just separted and receiving child support. i would try to get it.. it can't hurt anything........

as long as paternity is established for the child, then the father can be held responsible for child support- Marriage doen't have to enter this equation at all.

good luck!

No, but if you were never married, you may have to consent to a DNA test of the child.

Separated or living apart I would have thought. I don't think couples living together would get very far.
