use distilled water, or boil your water first. The white stuff is just the minerals.

Purified water makes the clearest ice cubes. They may not be perfect but the white is nearly not there....

I work for Culligan water.. we have people call about that all the time cause our adds show the crystal clear cubes....

am having trouble thinking of an answer for this one cuz i dont remember seeing white stuff in my ice cubes, am too busy normaly making myself a drink not really looking at the cubes i put in my cup! sozzy

In a standard freezer it's very difficult as the "white stuff" is simply air bubbles.

Or it is as long as your water supply isn't contaminated.
