You mean Encephalitis? Well it does cause a brain swelling and the cause behind it can be an infection - viral, bacterial, rickettsial, etc. Because of the brain swelling pressure symptoms like headache, vomiting, bradycardia may manifest along with or without fever. Fits may happen during the course of illness and usually a viral encephalitis clears away all by itself, and others by antibiotics, anti fungals etc, but a few problems may sometimes persist life long.

encephalitis. It actually means inflamation of the brain. My brother had it when he was little. They said it was from being bitten by a mosquito that bit a horse who had it. He slept all the time, and my mom kept waking him up to make sure he was ok. Sometimes it can cause brain damage, from what I hear. My brother seems to be OK, but who really knows. Maybe he would be a lot smarter or something if he never had it? It is really scary though, so if you think someone has it go to the doctor for sure! These days there are probably cures for it Right?

It's encephalitis. It's someone with a very high temp., and very out of it. The patient needs antibiotic, and anyone that's been in contact with the person as well. It's a very scary illness~
