I've never heard of a $150 amp that puts out 2000 watts. Chances are that a Pyle amp (or any similar amp for that matter) that advertises 2000 watts of power, will give out closer to 200 or 300 watts. You typically get what you pay for. These amps are low end, advertised as more than what they really are. If you want 2000 watts of actual power, you'll be paying over $1000. Depending on what kind of sub(s) you have, you may only want to give a few hundred watts, in which case, paying between $300 and $400 for an amp would probably get you a decent one.

About the lowest-end I'd, personally go is Hifonics or Lanzar's Opti line. They'll do very near or right at rated power and are built with decent quality.

There are a few other inexpensive brands that aren't terrible, but most of the cheapest ones will be built cheaply and probably won't deliver anywhere near their rated power (half or less, in some extreme cases, even). Most of the brands you mentioned fall in that category.

For your price range you may need to look for used equipment, if you can even find something decent in that price range.

Some of the guys on the forum here have some decent 4-sale items: http://www.caraudio.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=6

Also, eBay (beware of seller)

On a side-note, "peak" power should be ignored. You want to pay attention to RMS and RMS only.

2000 watts hooded up to lightning maybe!.

Too many people are misled by way over rated products. A solid hi quality amp rated at a real 100watts per channel will blow away a cheap amp rated at an alleged 2000watts.

besides subs start to dissipate most power over a 100w as heat.

Some of those brandsi havent even heard of, and the onesi have are low quality, and yes you get what you pay for. I would recommen Pioneer or Kenwood. Chances are your not going to find a 2000w amp for around $150, you could get two 1000w mono amps, or one two channel amp and bridge it to get more power.
