Specifically, I mean that are Christians saying that everyone before 2,006 years ago is going to the Christian definition of Hell, some kind of limbo, or just vanished? I'm doing a little research on religion tonight for a paper, so please only real answers.

Ah, ok...trying to respond to one answer. I don't need the Bible's defintion of it, since I'm needing actual people's answers due to the Bible being subject to interpretation. I'm not sure I framed the question correctly. To answer some others, yes, there have been a lot of professed devout Christians who call others Heathens or tell non-Christians they will go to Hell if they don't believe this or that...which is too judgmental for me.

The truth... It's all Bull. None of it is real. No religion is real... it's all fiction.

You are mistaken in your idea of Christianity as well as the age of the earth. The earth was created only a few thousand years ago (approximately 6000) by the God of the Bible. That God took on human form and walked among us in the person of Jesus Christ.
It was called Christianity at that point, however, the religion and the God are the same as the God who walked in the Garden of Eden with Adam and Eve. The term "Christian" was given to the followers of Jesus Christ because it was Greek for "follower of Christ." The term "Christ" means "Anointed One".
In the Garden of Eden, when Adam and Eve first sinned, God told them this chosen one would come to save the world (Genesis 3:15). So, Christianity is not any different than what has been around since the beginning of the world, but only was given that name after God the Son took on human form.
Just because the name is only 2000 years old doesn't mean the religion is.
In Romans 1:19-20 we are told that the truth about the true God is obvious to everyone so everyone is without excuse. People know in their hearts that there is a God and what He is like. It is up to them whether they will accept Him or reject Him.
Also, you seem to think that God WANTS people to go to hell. That is a misunderstanding of Christian beliefs. After all, if God wanted us to go to hell, then He wouldn't have come to earth and died a horrible death on the cross.
If a judge grants a pardon to a prisoner and the prisoner refuses it and insists on staying with the original sentence, is the judge to blame when the prisoner is executed? The judge did all he could to stop it, but the prisoner has the last say. (By the way, before you say nobody would ever do that, this actually happened to a man during Abraham Lincoln's presidency. The man was going to be hanged in the morning and Lincoln pardoned him. The man wanted to make a political statement and he refused the pardon. The man was executed.)
God has given you the pardon. If you refuse it, you can hardly rage at Him that He was unjust.

No, Christianity is not the only religion...I am Christian, but there are many more religions in the world.
Who would say such a thing?
Christ was born 2006 years ago, but Christianity began after he was about 30. Believing in God is the most rewarding step one could take. After that, the right religion to worship is up to you!

Just a reference you should look into Revelation 20:11-15. It talks about the dead being raised to be judged according to what a person had done. I heard this verse is referring to people who have passed before Jesus' death/resurrection. I haven't come to a full grasp of what was being discussed, but an important factor to consider is that there is no dimension of time after death. So it may mean that every person who has died, has yet to undergo judgement, even though they may have died thousands of years ago (again, assumption that the dimension of time is non-existent). hope this helps.

According to the old Catholic doctrines, "virtuous" pagans (meaning those who acted in a Christian way yet were born before the time of Christ) ended up in the first circle of Hell. This was supposedly a place lacking in suffering, yet with a perpetual sense of sadness that came with seperation from God. At least, that was the idea.

That is not at all what we say, remember Jesus was a Jew.
And even before Jacob became Israel, God was with His people.
And Hell is not a place of limbo or where you just vanish, it is a place of never ending punishment.
This question shows how little you know.

Somewherre in the Bible it sats "those who are without the law will be judged without the law." This accounts for those people who lived 40,000+ years ago. Hell or heaven depends on their hearts, not their actions.

Man has only been on the Earth about 6000 years. (I can give different sources for that statement).
Some may not realize it (especially one presently in this country) but the Lord that walked in the Garden of Eden was the Lord Jesus Christ.
