I was given a script for Darvocet N 100 and it is NOT working. Is it possible that my body is immune to Darvocet? I know hydrocodone is effective in treating the pain that I have, but I didn't ask the doctor for that. Should I ask my doc for a higher dosage of Darvocet?

No there is no higher dosage available. The highest which is what you have is 100mg propoxyphene napsylate , 650 or 500 mg acetominophen (tylenol). There are no higher doses. Darvocet is an effective pain killer, but it is not as strong as hydrocodone or oxycodone. I would recommend Tramadol which is effective for pain and less addictive. Doctors do not like to prescribe hydrocodone for day to day pain to a variety of reasons. You are better of staying off it, unless you have intense pain. It can be dangerous. Do not take more Darvocet than 6 pills a day. It can become toxic after that dose.

No! The active ingredient in Darvocet can be fatal in very slight overdoses!
