my friend had found an iPod in the mall, and no1 said it was theirs, so she gave it to me. but the iPod is already named. how can i change its name?

When you connect the iPod to your computer, you can do it one of 2 ways. Change the name of it through iTunes by clicking on the icon / name of the iPod and or by going 2 my computer and right clicking the icon for the iPod and going to properties and renaming it from there.

If it is a recent IPOD reset it.
To reset it, toggle the hold swictch and then hold down the menu and select button at the same time till you see it power off. It is reset.
Now your itunes software will "redo" it.

click on the ipod icon and you could type in any name
