You have a relaxer, but you want to WEAR a natural, or you want to GROW OUT your relaxer and go all natural. I'm confused. I grew out my relaxer and contrary to popular opinion, I did it WITHOUT cutting the relaxed hair off. You need the best moisturizing products on the market. I love Nexxus or Generic (same ingredients!) Shampoo and Conditioner. I like the "Therappe," but Humectress is good, too. I use the Silk products as well when I use a hot comb. There are some good websites like http://www.nappturality.com to give you help. When you condition your hair, put on a plastic cap and leave it in for 20 minutes. Also consider a good hair vitamin: these products are the best and I swear by the Vitastrand: http://www.mikalclay.com . That's all you need besides strong writst to comb through that funky stuff, girlie. Best wishes!!

Well first off I feel a huge false impression with most black ladies and keeping their hair is that they cannot use "non-black" hair products. Some things are obviously not best for African American hair but don't be afraid to explore and take a look at extraordinary products. Additionally if in case you have been using the equal product for most of the time greater than 2 months straight your hair turns into resistant to it so it doesnt work the best way it once did. To find 2 or 3 products you love and swap it up every few months. I take advantage of Biolage hydratherapie and it is obviously powerful, it's going to supply your hair an awfully silky believe however with out being greasy watching. Garnier additionally makes conditioners and moisturizers for split ends which are fine! If you're now not a respectable hair stylist it's likely you aren't giving your self a correct hair cut. When this occurs you're no longer getting your entire cut up ends and your hair is carrying on with to dry out. You will have to go get your hair professionally cut as soon as a month and if its too steeply-priced go once every different month, its worth it if you don't want to ought to reduce off that attractive hair in a year bc its all dead and uneven. Good good fortune!

With out knowing whether or not you want to grow your relaxer out or just have a "natural" look, let's explore both options. if you want to grow your hair out a keep the natural texture, You should keep your hair conditioned and wear styles that let it rest like braids, kinky twists or sew-in weaves. Do not :keep either of these styles longer than 6 weeks which will be time for you to get a 1/2" trim. Do not press or blow dry your hair straight because it may stay straight and defeat the purpose of growing out your hair in the first place. Do not use grease use oil. In no time you will have a head full of natural healthy hair. If you just want the look get a straw set and finger comb. Good luck!!!

Wash it and let it air dry...it won't look like an afro, though, it'll just have a frizzy kind of texture to it. I think you could get away with putting Motion's Pink Lotion in your hair to keep it from getting dry. Try it first...it might do the opposite and straighten it back out again if you tie it up.
Also...what you can do is either two-strand twist your hair while it's wet or get french braids while it's wet and let it dry...then when dry, carefully undo them. The french braids will result in lots of little crimps, but the twists will result in little spirals...I know, because I two-strand twist my own hair sometimes (my hair is natural though). If you like the crimp or curl, don't comb it out. If you really want an afro-y look, well, comb it out. That should work. Practice and see what works.

My hair is relaxed and long but it looks totally natural when I wash it. If I let it air dry and comb out the waves/curls it will looks like Chaka Khan's hair back in the day.
Now if you want to go natural just stop getting your hair relaxed and keep it moisturized. Get the ends trimmed every 6 weeks same as always. Deep condtion everytime you wash it. Good Luck!

You could do a wet set so it looks like and afro but you won't get that kinky texture because of the relaxer.
