What the...? Is the implication that the existence of things about this world that we don't like make it undemocratic? So, if I don't like the fact that I have to breathe, or take a ****, then this is not a democracy? Nuts to that. Some things are facts of life, and we can't vote them away.
Not to mention I highly doubt the majority of the citizens in this country want to live in a uni-racial society. Just because YOU don't get your way doesn't mean it's not democratic.

Was it democratic when the British invaded Africa, Asia and the USA and Australasia? When Indian people were forced to fight in world war 1 and 2 because they were British colonies, was that democratic? When these Indian people wanted to go back to their contry of origin after the war, but were denied, was that democractic. REMEMBER, the first NON-WHITES that came to Britain were forced to come and stay. Its not their fault. When immigrants come to the UK, its because they want to work and start a life here, NOT to invade the country like the BRITISH did. RACISM NEEDS TO END> what does everyone else think??

Democracy is from the Greek Demos and cracy people and power or in English power to the people. People in this case means the body of the people as opposed to the individual.
We live in a democracy because Mr. Blair said so and what he says goes

to be fair we are lead to believe we live in a democratic society, where people are equal and entitled to opinions, but look at the real world. us lowly worker bees, the civilians, we are manipulated in most things. we dont really get freedom of thought or speech, we r ok as long as we dont get too many ideas.
there are exceptions to this i guess, but in general, id say we are definately on our way to a proletarian society.

What can I say a lot of places you go are going to be multiracial, I suppose that you can always fly to the moon and live there and you won't be bothered BY ANYONE. Oh wait wait! Never mind if the astronauts land on the moon again they might be a group of different races too so um....just learn to accept it, be grateful there are many different races.

You are spot on, it didn't appear on any manifesto, but neither have many other things, such as joining a Federal Europe, the Euro and many other issues. You have been handed a "fait accompli" and effectively told, to get on with it. Totalitarianism, or what?

No-one asked you if you wanted to be born white, either, but there you are, you got lucky. if you take your focus off colour for a moment and put it back on your own business, which is to make the best of the all-too-short life you've been given, you'll find that nothing and nobody has the power to hold you back in this life.

You have got to love the highly educated answers "you're free to leave or you should move" judging by these highly soficticated answers i think that way to many Americans answered your question! Do they think you will find more of your countrymen in another country?????
I agree with you, although I'm lucky i live in Australia and there's mountains of places to move to free from multi culturism. I do feel for you, watching any live UK programs is like playing "where's wally" or rather "where's the Brit"
