i have layered hair. is that the same as split ends ? like i want my hair to grow longer and a lot of people say to trim it daily to rid off the split ends. and im not sure if that included layered hair as well. as in my prevoius question my hair was a little lower than my shoulder blades. will my layered hair make my hair worst since it has those ends? cuz thats part of the hair structure thing. and if i trim my hair it`ll probably be up to my about my ear since thats where my last layered end stops. so yeah.. so confused and worried. plus, thanks for taking time to read this and answer [:

Do not trim your hair every day! Do not trim your hair by yourself for that fact! I have layered hair too and I go get my hair trimmed about every 3 weeks to a month. It keeps my ends strong and makes my hair grow faster. You don't get split ends from having layered hair you get it from heat damage, chemical damage, and just plain doing your hair in a end pulling style. Just go back to your salon about every month and get about half and inch to an inch trimmed off. That should solve your problem! Hope I helped!

Illustration: If you stuck your finger in a light socket and it went straight out from your head every hair would be the same length.
that is layered.
When it falls down the top layer is shorter. We use to cut our hair by measureing every little bunch of hair to a certain length.
Then when it falls down it appears thicker and flows together.
The hair on the nape of the neck is the length.or longest.
only cut when it is wet and measure exactly. Just trim off 1/4 of an inch. Only need to do that every 6 months. Hot oil treatments
