real conversion is being born again

2006-09-01 11:21:27 · answer #1 · answered by Anonymous · 2 1

i think religion is just a word. a word that characterise a denomination. many denominations do things different and have different rules and some times their interpretation of what the bible says.

some believe in water baptism and going down and coming out of the water, some believe in sprinkling. converting is just changing over to some one else way of thinking and interpretations. but hopefully all preach JESUS and his virgin birth, death and ressurection, thats the important thing.

it depends, convert is a technical term it's not something you can self-define and it varies from faith to faith. Maybe you mean "If you're in a relationship with someone from a different religious/ethical background who wants to join you in your faith but does not want to actually convert, what do you consider appropriate action?" is that what you meant?

To change one's belief. I don't belive in conversion unless your doing it to yourself. People should stop trying to convert others to their beliefs unless that person has asked for guidance.

I would say changing faiths or denominations. When I became Catholic it was not so much converting as reverting and coming home.
