I had the same problem last year and it turned out to be a kidney stone. My daughter also had it after a long haul flight and it turned out to be urinary track infection which they gave her anti-biotic for. It is probably nothing to get worried about. Though you have done the best thing by taking him to the doctor

Talk to your doctor! I have never heard of any situation in which blood in the urine is a good thing!

Ask your doctor/pediatrician, this is your Son's health. If my urine contained blood, I'd get to the doctor or better yet, the hospital FAST

Blood in urine is never a good sign. However, it could be as minor as an infection, call your doctor.

Active seven year old kids can often display protiens and blood in the urine.....whether or not it is an issue is dependant upon how much. Suggest you discuss it with his doctor.

It could be just an infection. Did the dr not go over this with you...? do not just assume kidney disease, wait until you know for sure.
