I admire the fact that you could bring that up. ^^ I think you are a person of good judgment if you arent affected by the conflict between certain religions and abortion and are able to make individual judgements.

I try never to mix religion, politics, and morals together. They really do not go hand-in-hand like that. If you are against abortion, that does not mean that you are religious, but that you have morals. Which is not a bad thing. It means that you have a heart and that you care. These people who are for abortion have no heart and do not care. Abortion is not about religious values, more like moral values. One can have morals without religion. Religion is mostly cultural and group based to keep a society of people together. You can have values and morals without ever being religious. This even applies to animals. Think about a mother alligator. She kills her pray to eat and live, but she protects her children with love and care like no other. Why? She has to kill to survive, but she can be loving and gentle to her children because she knows and loves her children and knows that they are her legacy. Every animal has this in them to have morals. Humans do too. It is a survival instinct. What do you think humans were like before we became more advanced? We had morals then and we did not know what religion was. We naturally knew to live and survive. Something that is in us from birth. Abortion is not natural. It is something than man does now to keep the human population and the threat of disease in control, but man has about as much control of anything as the mother alligator does. We can only choose so much in life.

A lot of religious people equate abortion with murder. None religious people that are against abortion, feel it is a human rights's issue. One such person was a Doctor out of New York who was an atheist.

One can be "against abortion" AND pro choice. I personally am not religious--> I would NOT have an abortion --> however I do NOT oppose anyone who wants to have an abortion, therefore I am PRO Choice.
Those who are NOT pro choice-- most visibly, religious followers and leaders in their quest to outlaw and ban people who perform abortions (thus leaving NO choice), twist the wording around to portray those who are pro choice as "baby killers" and "murderers" and "pro-abortion".
Clever tactics--but the portrayal simply isn't so.

Because has ever disagreed to using God Jesus or the Bible in an arguement again's Abortion. in fact I've never heard of any cogent argument against Abortion that didn't include a religious reference.

Not necessarily, it just so happens that many people who are against abortion happen to be very religious. Some people who are against abortion aren't religious at all. It just depends.

It is mostly religious people who ''get on the bandwagon'' and yell alot. I do not believe in abortion, but I do not have the right to tell another woman she must agree with me. I do not believe the state has a right to tell any woman what she can and cannot with her body.
Therefore, I am VERY pro choice.

most people think that abortion is killing a life. so that is why the religious folk are against it. the question is, when does a fetus become a human form?

Perhaps only because most of us who are against abortion tend to have never heard of anyone not of a faith who is against it as well. I do however presume there must be someone out there who is both.

Yeah, I know what you mean. Most (if not all) religions are pro-life so pro-choice people just assume that you must be religious. I'm not very religious but I'm pro-life.
