If the two of you are of legal age and have made a vow or commitment to each other to be husband and wife you are married in the eyes of God. Married people do not need to repent for the marriage bed is undefiled.
Any sexual relations with other persons from this point is adultery regardless of human blessings or paper work. And if there is never any wedding you are still married.
It might be nice to have a blood test to make sure you are compatible for children.
Under common law all you must do to be married in the public eye, in most cases, is to introduce yourselves in social situations as husband and wife.

Listen Sallygirl1, don't listen to those christian freaks, they are the same people who think gays are going to hell for being gay. You can have pre marital sex if it means that much to you, but don't go crazy! And don't do it on the first date, but you don't have to listen to me. But you have to realize that people had to have sex without getting married a long time ago to populate the planet. That is really the whole point of sex. Marriage isn't for everyone, and neither is waiting. You are not going to hell.

Any sin if you don't repent will condemn you. God gave us these rules cause He knows what is good for us. TO give yourself completely to a person who does not have the love for you to make a marital commitment is damaging you. You will have low self esteem and damage your ability to bond properly with your life mate.
I don't think it is a coincidence that the divorce rate went up when people started having So-called free sex.
Sex is never free!

It's silly to live life by 2,000 year old societal mores. Today's society has no problem with pre-marital sex.
And in a purely practical sense, how bad would life suck if you found out you and your new spouse were completely sexually incompatible AFTER your wedding?
I wouldn'tbuy a car without test driving it first, and I would never wed a woman without having sex with her first. It's just common sense.

Today's non-christian society has no problem with premarital sex. We christians know it to be a sin. Salvation comes through the belief that Jesus was the son of God, and that he died for our sins - pre-paying the price so that we wouldn't have to. Everyone makes mistakes. God recognizes that. The Bible says that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. God forgives us even when we can't forgive ourselves. Even though God knows our sins, we should confess our sins to Him - no middle man needed - and ask for His forgiveness. However, if you made the mistake of fornicating and died in an accident before you could discuss it with God, He would not reject you at those pearly gates. He would discuss it with you in person :).

All sin will cost your soul if you do not repent.
Acts 17:30-31
And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth ALL men every where to repent:
Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.

I can't "damn" or condemn anyone. I know that the Bible says sex is for a man and his wife. I believe that makes it a sin. In order to be forgiven of our sins, we must ask God for forgiveness and attempt to sin no more.

Pre-marital sex only hurts the relationship. Unbelief only hurts your salvation. Unrepentance is a slow destroyer of your faith.

(assuming you're asking from a biblical context)... so. yes and/or no.
yes - the bible says fornicator's shall not enter the kingdom of heaven.
no - (i believe) choosing to accept/reject God is what damn's a person. so if someone is having premarital sex (knowing that it's not what God wants), then it seems like they're choosing to reject God (so... to answer your question... yes? i guess?)

any sin can do that but thats why we have Holy Communion And consider this Adam and Eve didnt have a certificate... I think if someone had only one partner for life its the same you know like common law marriage! since most of us have more we have had to repent of mistakes...
