Colour does not lift colour and a hair colour remover or 'stripper' is the same as bleach. Black colour is next to impossible to remove from your hair safely or easily! I recommend going to a salon if you are hell bent on getting rid of it. If your hair is damaged already, I think you should let it be for a while. Condition the heck out of it and take very good care of it before you try anything else.

No, the risk is to great of a loss on DAMAGED Hair....Keep TRIMING and Conditioning for about 6 to 8 months and then use a level 8 Lift/Blonde w/30 vol. Developer on the remaining Black Hair...Have a Problem then cut it OFF & Keep GROWING....

If it doesn't START to fade out within a month or so, your kinda out of luck. The only way that I could get the black dye out of my hair was bleach, and that really damaged my hair... I had to cut off six inches to get it healthier.

You don't use bleach to remove color anyways, you use hair color remover to strip the color out. Since your hair is already damaged I really would not strip the color out.Let the color grow out and keep trimming your hair. I don't know what color your hair is naturally, but if it is brown, the black growing out won't look that bad. If your hair is blonde you might want to get a short hair cut. Go to a salon and get re constructor treatments for the damage. Good luck
