Who else agrees that trying to meet and hook-up with somone on "Yahoo! Answers" of all things is very stupid and annoying?
Example: "Looking for a hot girl around the ages of 18-25!"
If you want to find somone ONLINE go to a dating service online. If you don't like that, walk outside and start searching!
Did you guys even know that Yahoo! has a dating service? Yahoo! Personals people. not Yahoo! Answers!

i think you are soooooooooo right! i'm not just saying this to get 10 points. i really think so! it's nice to have friends and stuff on the net. but. go out and find someone REAL! i say this all the time. it's good to have someone who thinks the same! :)

I agree 100%, but I do have a story to share.
In my younger days, I used to surf single sites and respond to posts that stated such things as "I am tall, blond, and beautiful," or "I'm hot and waiting for you," or "Blue eyes, gorgeous, and waiting," etc. I used to respond with such phrases as..."If you are so beautiful, why are you not out in the real world looking for a date...if you are really this awesome, wouldn't you have people waiting in line for the privilege of dating you?" I did however see a post of an honest woman who mentioned that she was a student at the university where I graduated. She was also studying the same profession (teacher). I sent her a "good luck with student teaching" message. She actually responded, and we went out on a few dates.
What I am trying to say, is that there is a place for people to make initial connections on the Internet. Some people are shy in real world social settings.
However, I do agree with you that the ones you have mentioned, along with the fact that they are posting them here, are really pathetic.
By the way, I met my wife in the real world. She was when we met and still is a fellow teacher in the high school where I work.

I wonder if these people are succesful at getting a date with those questions and solicitations. Maybe we could hear back from people about their success stories? I personally don't care if they do that, doesn't bother me.

well i think people go to yahoo answers for fun. it's true it's better to choose people you see and know, i mean it's kinda dangerous to date someone you don't know.
