I really don't need anything, that I can't get that's only 20 minutes away. The cabela's my parents want to take me to is 3 hours away. I really don't want to go but it may be because I've never been to a Cabela's before. How cool is Cabela's and would it be worth doing as my birthday gift?

ohh hell yeah cabelas is God's gift to hunters, fisherman, and general outdoorsman.
I got all my hunting clothes, snowmobiling gear (except helmet), truck stuff, fishing gear, ice fishing gear, 4wheeler gear, shooting stuff ammo and whatnot. Everything any real man could ever imagine Cabelas has.

A new Cabela's just opened in my neighborhood here in Arizona.
Go and have a blast! It is so cool! I really liked the place, the one here has an aquarium with every Arizona native species of fish.
There is a mountain with a bunch of taxidermic animals in the middle and a slot canyon.
Loads of outdoor gear, too!

I agree with SunFun. If you are an outdoor (hunting and fishing) oriented person. I've been to several of their stores. Their displays of mounted North American and African game animals are worth seeing. Their merchandise is not inexpensive, however the quality of their Cabela's brand outdoor gear is among the best available and they replace or refund purchase price without a hassle if you are not satisfied.

It is the mega store of outdoor sports so if you are into that you could spend hours in there. If you like fishing you could spend hours just in the lure department. If you like hunting there is everything you could possibly want for that. Everyone should go to Cabela's once in their life.

I've never been to one, but I'm not much of a shopping person so it doesn't sound very exciting. I'm going camping with my closest buds for my 16th. Only 19 more days!
