some do...but it ends up in divorce. Yes our grand parents did it, however we live in a different world than them..

But my husband had a high school/college sweetheart. After college, he got a job that required him to travel a bit, but she still had one more year of college.

She usually picked him up from the airport, but when he called once to make the arrangements, she said she couldn't make it. And then she said she was spending Thanksgiving with a new "friend" instead of him.

Seven years together, and then she dumped him because he had to travel for work, and she was "lonely" without him and she met someone else. He was working hard for their future, and she was only thinking about herself.

I think a lot of high school romances start when people are very young, and in the times between high school and college and after, people change a lot. Some people mature, some people don't, and sometimes goals and dreams don't match up and the two people have realized that they've changed and weren't meant for each other after all.

I would assume a large percentage. They marry their high shcool sweethearts instead of their dreams.

i assume the proportion might bypass down as you become older if the dedication isn't there however the possibilities are high 50 50 its in basic terms like the asserting you win some you lose some solid luck

I don't know the percentage, but usually it doesn't last everyone I know that did is divorced. Things are alot different now than they were 50 years ago. Marriage is so much harder now

Probably a lot more than anyone knows. However the percentage that work out? Not so great.
