Cold medicine alone can make me feel weird. If your medicine contains acetaminophen, then drinking can interact dangerously with it, increasing the activity of an enzyme that causes liver damage. One or two drinks is probably fine, but it's safer not to have any.

I take it you are referring to cold medicine with DM (dextromethorphan- I think). Oh yeah thats good living. I read about this guy who decided to embark on a three day cough syrup bender. he said that he pretty much felt like a lizard after the first half bottle.
In my own experience, I used to take a package of cold medicine and just mix the package right into a 26 ounce bottle of vodka. I ended up talking like a fish, but it did get me loaded and i got to sleep easily.
hope this helps answer your question.

hmmm. it seem to me like u are more worried about acting silly than the actual fact that cold medicine also contains alcohol and that higher alcohol levels lead to poisoning, death of brain and kidney/liver cells.

acting silly vs. potential blood toxicity, interesting priorities you got there.

Depending on what you take, what you drink, and your metabolism, it could mess you up. Bad. So don't.
