France is not a nation that traditionally welcomes immigrants. The majority of immigrants to France come from Algeria & former French colonies. I think as American's we can do better. We have the infrastructure to welcome the world & to channel that energy. We just need to change the "attitude" of the fearful "heartland".

USA is a nation defined by immigration. Europe is not welcoming any immigrants because we have a culture to preserve. You have no culture, no ethic image you'd lose with more immigrants.
