sort of. red is the color of passion and general naughtiness. some will most likely snicker or scold you for doing so but it's your choice.

traditionally there are 3 colors you don't wear to a wedding: black, white, and red. However, etiquette dictates you may wear black after 5 and to a non traditional wedding the same rules would not apply. I don't know that anyone would necessarily think you were being rude if you wore red, but you also don't want anyone to think about what you have on at a wedding either!

No. Generally the only color which is somewhat looked down upon is wearing white. Even now, that is acceptable if the wedding is in the spring or summer. Even winter white is acceptable at a winter wedding. Red is a beautiful color during the xmas holidays or for valentines weddings.

Even the etiquette experts say NO COLOR is forbidden these days.

there is nothing wrong in wearing red to a wedding. now its more common to wear it if you wear it at night. for a day wedding, you will stand out more and the only person that should be the center of attention in a wedding, is the bride

I think it's fine, except if the cut is too revealing. It's HER wedding.

By the way, I was kind of "shocked" (well, not really, but very surprised) at the number of people who wore white clothes at my friends' wedding this summer - and also at other people's wedding! Were people trying to show off their tan? Anyway, I thought that was weird!

PS: that was in France. I'm French.

the marriage etiquette no no hues are White, purple and Black purple is a colour it is an interest grabber and can eliminate from the bride. additionally in some cultures purple is the colour of the marriage dress they placed on. Black is a symbolic colour of mourning. although, if its a night wedding ceremony or a black tie dresses wedding ceremony then you definitely can wreck out with it. White is the brides colour and you in no way placed on the comparable colour through fact the bride. If this wedding ceremony is quickly, a purple/burgandy/maroon blouse is out of season, its extra of a fall or wintry climate colour :-). i could first p.c.. a various colored blouse, are you able to replace it? i could bypass with a lighter colour like a blue or some thing else. The black pants although, are wonderful. another element to evaluate is that if this might nicely be a marriage it is quickly, often in any fabric darker hues are warmer and if its warm out you would be even warmer. adult males although, can wreck out with colour fake pas extra suited than women human beings can. often the colour code is for women folk human beings.

Yes, any garment that stands out blatantly is a no no for a wedding. It is the bride's day, she should be the focal point. A red dress will "compete" with her dress or attire and should not be worn. Save the dress for New Year's Eve. Peace.

I think it's not rude at all, the only thing that would make it rude is it's style or something like that, oh and if the bridesmaids are wearing it. It'd be much worse wearing white or black.

Personally I don't have a problem with it, even for the bride. Tradition is great but if the couple wants to do something unique that includes a non traditional gown then go for it.
