He's a man, not a woman. Guys are not as emotional as women, and therefore less likely to feel the need for a hug. What you're experiencing is quite normal. You have nothing to worry about, unless he pushes you away when you hug him.
Don't push him, because you're trying to get him to behave outside of what's natural for him. You're trying to get him to not be himself.

Just tell him how you feel. How does it make you feel when u are always the one who makes the first move and how it would make you feel if he would do it occasionally too. Ask him why doesn't he, don't question him, just get him into talking, is it hard for him to be spontanious about his feelings or show affections.
There's no magic you can do to make your relationship work, no hocus pocus. Communication, communication, communication. Works like charm.
Though at times it's hard to bring up a tough topic, it's always better to talk even though it's hard than let things just be. Eventually this will lead into serious misunderstandings and the discussion you will face then will be even harder to face than it would've been originally.

Give him time. I have had no female relationships yet and I know I wouldn't want to make a move in the first YEAR, even if I really loved someone.

You don't alway's have to make the first move play hard to get and let him come around too. It's a two way street have him look for you sometime (he will).

Why can't you make the first move? Some guys are timid or afraid of rejection. Some actually like it when the girl initiates.

make him cuddle you quite alot. tell him how you feel inside, always tell the truth. when you meet up with him try and kiss to begin with as this will set the tone for the evening.

just hang with him, the guy is shy. talk to him, hug him and ask him how his day is going then eventually he will come out of his shell. i think people like that is sweet. good luck.
