Aw man, that was barely two months ago. Allow yourself to grieve over her, she was your best friend. Over time the wound will heal but she will forever be part of your heart. You couldn't possible just stop crying or feeling sad for her just like that. Don't think it's a sign of weakness when you start to cry over her, it's a sign that you're human and have a big heart. Give yourself some time. You may be able to "get over her" in time, but again, she will always be part of your heart. Cherish the times you had together. I hope your heart mends soon.

I know what you mean. I've lost two dogs due to age and my favorite parrot due to some unnoticed illness. You don't ever get over it. Just remember that the heart can expand infinitely, and your lost dog will move over to let another dog into your heart when you are ready.
I once went a whole year between dogs. I'll never do it again. When I am 184, and the most dog I'll be able to handle is a chihuahua (my least favorite kind of dog) I will own a chihuahua happily because my soul REQUIRES dogs.
Here's a hug for you.

I know you feel right now that you won't get over it, but as time goes by the grief for her will get less intense, and eventually you will be left with happy memories of your dog.
Im so sorry this has happened, its very painful I know, as they are part of the family and its such a loss when they go.
Have you thought of getting another dog. I know yours cannot be replaced, but it often helps to overcome the grief, and also you will be giving another one a good home.
Hope this helps.

I'm so sorry about your dog. Believe me, a lot of us understand exactly how you feel. I had a childhood cat for 15 years and when he died I was so sad. I remember, months after he died, I'd find a toy or one of his whiskers or something and all those sad feelings would come flooding back. It hurts, but I promise it gets easier. It's ok to be sad and look at her pictures and remember her face and everything. As the years go by you'll have happy memories of the time you spent with her. Big hug!

I know how hard it is to lose a pet. It will take time, but eventually the hurt will go away and you'll be left with wonderful memories of your dog. It is really important to allow yourself to grieve. When my dog ran away and we thought she was likely dead, this poen really helped me through the pain. I still miss her, but the pain is mostly gone now.
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

dogs can boost very close bonds with one yet another very quickly. They boost friendships in simple terms like human beings can and could seek for their pal whilst they like to play or in simple terms dangle out. I remember one weekend we've been staying at a friends domicile with our dogs and the resident dogs became scratching at our mattress room door at 4am through fact he needed to play with our domestic dog. they are able to additionally pass over their chum whilst they are not around. those individuals who own extra advantageous than a million dogs can easily attest to that. whilst one passes away, the surviving dogs will spend days finding for their lost chum. it rather is an exceptionally frightening element to be certain. If possible, attempt to have on a daily basis play time with the two. in case you and your chum can set up a habitual, in keeping with risk that'll help the husky understand that she'll have the potential to be certain her pal.

I know you feel, I had to put my beloved poodle to sleep
because he was suffering from a heart condition and
kidney failure; he was my loving, affectiion friend for 12
long years, and now he is gone about 5mos. I cried and
cried too, but you will begin to feel better in time. He is
buried in my backyard with a little headstone next to
my husbands pet. God bless you for loving her and
giving her a good home, someday you (and I ) will
find another one to love!
