It depends greatly on the country the ambassador is representing and to whom the ambassador represents that country.

I guess a universal question for any ambassador would be, "Why are almost all the countries in the world trying to make the United Nations the world government and what can people do to stop this?"

Well is that not the place where the tsunami went in? I would ask him what is he doing to put up a system of warning for any kind of natural disaster? How is he going about it ? What is he doing that is positive as his countrys ambassador?

Protocol governs what you would ask an ambassador. Before the appointment you would be briefed.
