There really is no substitute for water, and you need to drink a lot of it, aim for at least 2.5 liters a day even if you do not enjoy it.
Herbal teas are good for you but green tea contains a lot of caffeine and should be drunk in moderation

Green tea is in fact very good for you (anti-oxidants) and because of the caffeine can jump start your metabolism (which will help you to loss weight). And because the caffeine is bound to other natural chemicals in the tea it's released more slowly when you ingest it so you don't get a coffee type rush/crash. But please keep this in mind too much of anything can be bad for you. So I wouldn't go overboard on the tea either or at the very least don't make the tea too strong if that's all you're going to be drinking.

Yes, you can. Zero calorie drinks containing splenda are okay too. I like this "Diet Green Tea with Ginseng" that is sweetened with splenda. You can buy it at wal-mart. I would recommend getting green tea and crystal lite, and using them to wean yourself off of "bad drinks", and gradually increase your water intake. Water is essential, but GT is much better for you than soft drinks, so I'd recommend it before those any day. I would drink only decaf drinks after 2pm, and make sure not to ruin your diet by adding empty calories like cream or sweeteners.

It depends on if you want to drink bottled green tea or brewed. Brewed is ok. It still counts as water content, and one cup has less caffeine than a cup of coffee. The bottled stuff is not good because it has a lot of high fructose corn syrup. BAD. That's the stuff that will kill the diet. you want to try to stay away from anything that contains high fructose corn syrup.

I'm just 95% sure of the answer I'm giving you
any kind of drink which contains caffeine does not count toward your daily water intake.
you can use caffeine free green tea.
I personally sometimes fill a pitcher with water and put slices of cucumber(with skin) or lemon or peach in it and let it stand in the refrigrator, it will taste good and beside I'll know how much I'm drinking, or you can just feel a bottle and drink it with a straw a few sip each time.
good luck on your weight loss.

Yes you can, but like water there is only so much fluid intake that one can bare. This diet if it consists of alot of water drinking, maybe consider one that doesn't make you consume too much water. There are limits as to how much water our bodies can take,& even excess water can be an overload for our kidneys to flush out.Green tea is ok, just a suggestion (ONLY) you can also add a freshy sqeezed orange, or lemon , honey to your water at alternate drinking times.I wish you luck on your diet, but please be aware of diets that contain large amounts of water,as our bodies need minerals, vitamins & susternance to keep our fuel going, or it could lead to health problems.Good Luck once again.:)

Green tea is okay as long as it is not sweetened. Also, Crystal Light drinks are good. Nothing will hydrate you without any down sides as well as water though. Good luck on your diet.

Just do yourself a favor and make sure it is decaff tea, otherwise it should be fine. I find that drinking tea makes me more thirsty. If you could put some of the crystal light water flavor packets in your water it might make it easier to drink.
