Gray Cockatiels are called "Normal Grays"

you can tell the sex of the bird by coloration. The male is much more vividly colored.

They make great pets.

You can teach them to talk but it takes time and patience.

When you put your hand in the cage, and under the breast to pick it up, do not be alarmed if it looks like it is going to bite you, what the bird is doing before it steps up is testing the strength of the
"limb".

Males and females both take care of the babies.

When the females lay, (I want to say) the clutch size is 3 or more eggs.

Many years ago I had an indoor aviary and had cockatiels, zebra finches and a pr of parakeets in there. They all got along great.

that's all I can think of for now, if I think of anything else I will let you know.

1. buy a large cage 19"x20" by 24" tall or bigger. The larger is always the better.

2, Buy some Cockatiel food mix. and some feeding a water bowls

3. toys

4 enjoy

5. Have common sense, if the bird seems sick take it to the vet. play nice with it every day.

6. If you are without any common sense buy a book or maybe two.

Usually are male,,,,easy to care for. Usually don't cost as much as multi-color birds. Mate easy with a female. Good birds. I have four.
