If the parents get tickets? No, kids at the ages in which they usually come out pregnant are very young and the last thing in their minds are showing any type of concern for their parents, they only care about what they want and that is that., for all they care, their parents could be taken to jail, but in their heads they are thinking, "oh I will be able to stay with the apartment for me and my 15 year old boyfriend" - - - Tickets for them., I really think that is not severe enough to stop the issue. It has to be something really dramatic like, if a child is pregnant before being the legal adult age, 18, the child will be taken away as she is not able to provide a home, food, clothing and/or all the necessary materials for this child to grow in a healthy environment and the responsibility of the child will not be burden on the grandparents, unless they take full responsibility of the newborn and all parental rights will be taken away from the biological parent, minor child, and when the parent minor child, turns of legal age, she will be able to file for a petition for visitation rights for that child. Something like that I think will in someway scare a girl enough to think twice of getting pregnant... As most of these young girls usually end up putting the burden on their parents to support them and the grandchild and that is where I think that parents do wrong because they are making it easy for them to have kids and know the sacrafice and responsibility of having to raise one.

By the questions you've asked sounds like youre a teen whose pregnant and thinks that if your parents know that they will get into trouble because your under 18. If that is the case then you really should tell your parent (s) so that you can get the proper health care for yourself and baby. There is a lot of alternatives like adoption too. The only punishment that kids suffer from teenage pregnancy is the baby (that's if they decide to keep it) extremly hard work!! Good luck.

Are you kidding me?? There are worst illegal things going on and also harmful things. Each and everyone of us are responsible for OUR actions. If someone is under age then the parents need to keep a close eye on them. Where are the parents when the child is getting laid? If you want to act all grown up then take the consequences that come along with it, not to mention the responsibilities.

I think that is riduclous, parents should think of this kinda stuff when their kids are just small, disciplne them properly when they do small things, and most of the time they won't do major things, and parent should just keep better eye out for where their kids rae at what time and enforce rules , don't just let it slide. Kids get so use to parents letting them get by with, maybe its because parents enjoy their "free" time too much, they don't care what the kids are getting into.Punishing parents won't stop kids, the kids need to be punished, when they are still young, so that they fear wrong-doing.

NO!!! that's all we need, more pointless laws that don't solve anything except how to line the pockets of politicians. what good would it do to give a kid a ticket when s(h)e doesn't even have a job? the parents would end up paying for their kid's mistake & that's not fair. teaching morals & responsibility would be more effective.

how would punishing parents make their kids stop having sex and making stupid decisions? We were all teens once, we know how easy it was to hide things from parents that we didn't want them to find out. Parents can only do as best as they can and trust their kids with the rest.

No that will not help at all! If a kid doesn't care that he or she could get a deadly STD or become a parent why would they care about a ticket?

People don't get serious about speeding tickets, it'd be ridiculous to expect them to care about "pregnant" tickets!

You know...there are young people, such as myself, who have a kid out of wedlock and are not welfare hungry, drug addicted parents. i love my child and take care of him to the best of my ability...and for you to ask something that dumb and insensitive...
just WOW. You must be either old fashioned and synical or young and dumb.
