The majority of them are poor, and desperate. You don't see the "rich ones" strapping C-4 on their belts.
Yeah some of the hijackers were from wealthy families, and were educated. They represent a minority of these fanatics.
Why were the Palestinians rewarded with 25000 dollars to their families when they completed an assignment?
But hey, the same goes with the majority of the soldiers, in the US, I am one by the way. Mostly poor, uneducated, desperate individuals who have no other direction in life. But their aim is a little different, they don't purposely target innocent people.

You are the only person I've ever heard say "terrorists blow themselves up because they are poor?"
Suicide bombers always originate from environments of injustice and frustration. As do the people you mentioned.
Suicide bombers and the Al Qaeda leaders are the lazy faithful. Faithful enough to kill themselves and murder others but not faithful enough to stay alive to help feed the poor and starving. Not faithful enough to help the needy or support their own families. Not faithful enough to trust God to defeat evil. Not faithful enough to spend their billions on doing good or helping to support orphans.
They are the same as Bush and as evil as everything they criticize.
I don't worship "the holy cow" but I like a good Burger King Whopper with cheese. Does that help?

Your ignorance is showing.... use of the word 'always' infers that they say that every single time. Not true! Knowing well read people know that many people who are muslims are both well educated and wealthy. Oil after all. Terrorism that results in 'martyrdom operations' as they like to call it is nothing more than extreme religious fanaticism. They have bought into all the lies of Muhammed in a vain hope of changing the world into their idea of 'faith.' It will never happen. People cannot be frightened into 'faith'. Holy Cows have nothing to do with it.

Most people who are attracted to and can be manipulated by extreme thought systems are those whose lives are a mess. It's why many, many terrorists come from downtrodden, almost hopeless conditions and the appeal of an afterlife that's richly rewarding or, more subtly, the appeal of something to belong to is very strong. It happens with gangs in the U.S. - kids from crappy environments find identity, purpose, and support in these gangs. And, in all cases, these groups provide another big attraction: scapegoats for its members to project all their problems onto. It's why the main way to fight terrorism and gangs is to improve the conditions for people and to educate them; it's not a pie-in-the-sky, substanceless, leftist ideal -- it's a statement of fact of how to resolve the problem.

Hmmm....I don't know. Why do some people lump all Americans together using blanket statements like yours? I think terrorists blow themselves up because they are stupid. It's never the leader (like Bin Laden) that is blowing himself up.....always the follower. Seems odd to me. If someone asked me to drink the kool-aid, I'd say "You first".

Most of the suicide bombers we hear about in the US are the Palestinian ones who are almost always poor. This is then extrapolated to encompass all terrorists. But you are correct, it is not the socio-economic status, it is the religion, or more specifically, the fundamentalist version of it.

Um....Where do you get your information? I have never heard an American say that terrorists blow themselves for that reason. Not in person, papers, on tv or radio.
I really think you're just making this up to get a rise out of us which is really kind of sad......

I don't know what news cast your are listening to but the ones I have heard are saying that they are doing it for religion. It has nothing to do with economical or social standing.
