Not at all. It is just a pin prick.

It kind of hurts first few times you do it.

I got used to it by third or fourth time.

It took me close to an hour to do it the first couple times, but after awhile I was in and out of there in about 20 minutes.

I made more donating plasma in 20 minutes than I did during 6 hours at my crappy job at work after taxes.

I would recommend donating plasma, just make sure you stay hydrated, and try to eat after you are all done.

If you are anything like me, with very small veins it can be, unless the nurse/doctor has done alot of blood taking. Otherwise there shouldn't be any problem. It is just like having an extra long blood test. With me personally it is the build up prior to giving plasma that makes me anxious.I hope it goes well for you.Bye for now:)

No but there can be mild side effects. I donated at Sloan Kettering cancer hospital and had a funny taste/sensation in my mouth so they gave me tums. They do tell you to make sure you have extra calcium for a few days before donating. You can also feel dizzy afterwards, or get a mild infection around the site of the needles but neither of those happened to me.

nope. unless you can't take shots, and they freak you out. buts its really just a blood withdrawl. and then they put it in a machine to seperate the cellss from the plasma.

It doesn't hurt but can feel uncomfortable you squirm and move the needle around. Just make sure you are not hungry and are hydrated before and after so you don't get light headed.

No. There is only an initial discomfort when the needle first goes in, and not even that if you have a good sticker.
