Ok listen, I have the right answer but as for it being pollitically correct who cares, My answers are very rarely wrong but often a little different. Ok first of all this suicide thing......I don't think so but if any thing I think its your 14 yr olds way of saying I have a crush on my teacher and it's serious now what do I do, wether or not it means "how can I get my teacher to like me too" wich is the 14 yr olds first response. (funny I think every one has been there before, never thinking the teacher has no interest what so ever in the student. But the teachers good manners and concern for the student will always leave that impression on an inexperienced mind) Now I've read some of your other answers and believe me reporting a teacher before you know whats going is "Wrong" the best thing is to let the teacher know and then let the teacher handle it, yes I said let the teacher handle it. Teachers go through this a lot and they are trained to let the student know that there concern for the student is not love for that student but love for there job of teaching and the fulfilment it gives to see the student do well.
Now on a lighter note when you are with your 14 yr old and you see their wonderingf eyes in public, try this. You say to them something like, "Now that ones a hottie, huh!" when your 14 yr old responds in what ever way add this. I dont mind you liking your teacher but think how old and wrinkled they will be when your let's say 27. But that little hottie will still be a hottie even then. COOL! Don't forget there are to many weird freaks that take something as simple as a crush on a teacher to a perverted level please don't be one of them, what your kid is going through is called "PUBERTY" Now let's get back to life. If it is a crush, life is tough and I would let him take the steps to try to date the teacher. Odds are she will reject him and he'll move on. In today's world, if she doesn't reject him, turn her in ASAP anonymously and let the school board, etc. take over. Tell him he's obviously NOT mature enough to date since he's giving you ultimatums. Always take suicide seriously. Talk to a counsler without him present & also let him talk with the counsler too.

Your son needs to go to counseling. This isn't just a crush on another student, this is a 14 year old wanting to date an adult. If talking to him isn't helping, you might want to consider professional intervention, or changing his school. Obsession isn't healthy.
