Protestants believe that blasphemy is the only unforgivable sin. When he was on the cross, Jesus cursed god, accusing him of abandoning him. If this is not blasphemy, just what do you have to do to be guilty of it?

Sounds good to me.

Just another example of the fallacy of the infallible word of god or christ.

wow, you really know how to twist words, "my God my God, why hast thou forsaken me?" sounds a lot more like a plea than blasphemy, except maybe in your world. He had just accepted the sin of the world and God couldn't be with Him in that state, it was from here Jesus descended into hell, so your right about Jesus going to hell, but the problem is for you that hell could not hold Him because He had not sinned. Check it out, His tomb is empty, the Romans and Pharisees never found a body to wave in the Christians faces, He ascended after showing 500 people He was resurrected. The gospel is true and Jesus return is certain, and we will all give an account of every word.

1.) Blasphemy is not the only unforgivable sin. Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit is (that is, seeing the handiwork of the Holy Spirit, knowing it to be true, and then denying it).

2.) Jesus was quoting Psalm 22, proof of a prophecy hidden within David's own laments.

Jesus already went to hell, but not for blasphemy. When Jesus was on the cross, he asked why God had abandoned him. This was to verify that God cannot condone sin which Jesus had taken upon himself in our place.
To be guilty of blashemy of the Holy Spirit, you must reject His plan for your life.

You are a liar. Jesus did not curse God! He said: Why have you forsaken Me". Greiving away the Holy Spirit is the unforgivable sin.

It's funny how you can make so many Biblically ignorant statements.... have you read about Jesus death? He did not curse God...

O and blasefemy is not the unforgivable sin...

blamespheme against the Holy Spirit is the unforgiveable sin... in other words, rejecting Christ and dying in your sins.... thereby refuseing the Holy Spirit.... that's what it means...

read the New Testament...

may God bless you and yours...

He did not curse God, He cried out to Him. FYI: The only unforgivable sin is rejecting Jesus Christ as your own personal Savior and Lord.

I do not agree that Protestants consider blasphemy to be an unforgiveable sin. Most Protestants consider all sins to be forgiveable. My own belief is that there is no such thing as sin.

Jesus did not curse God. He asked Him why has God forsaken Him. That is not blasphemy.

Great question!

I think Jesus's question "Why has tho forsaken me?" was just that a question....probably brought on by alot of pain and confusion caused by his wounds. Not blasphemy at all...just confusion due to his injury,

I can understand your need for clarification and applaud you for asking.
