I have heard all the run-of-the-mill junk. I would love someone to give me something substantial.

If you were given proof, you would say it wasn't substantial or give some other excuse. The only individual who can alter your mind to make you see the proof in front of you is God himself. If that day comes, he will slap you upside the head with the truth so hard you wonder how you ever missed it.

It just has to work that way for some of us.

lets try this.we can all agree that if there is a law there must be a lawgiver correct?i mean not goin over 65mph did not become law by itself right?and prostitution is a crime against the law not by itself right?a lawmaker makes laws.now, think of the different laws that govern the universe.take gravity for example.the law of makes the night and the day never catch up to each other.these laws and others in nature cannot be broken. it stands to reason that these laws have a law giver.and when the Christians say God died on the cross how did the world continue? the sun came up the next 3 days.people still lived, ate ,slept and woke up.how if God was dead for 3 days? No.God lives and never dies.i say this in hope that someone will take heed.there is no God save the creator of the heavens and the earth and all will come as a servant on the day of account.if there is law, there is a law giver.and to Him is the praise.

Do you mean a video tape from a security camera that was in the garden of Eden? Is that what you need? Or would the word taken by 6 billion people be enough to get you started in the right direction?

Life is a miracle even though people are born every day. If God wasn't real I wouldn't be alive today. Don't you believe evils are real too? I do. I came from a country(haiti) where there are people who serve satan, and people who serve God. If you live in my town it's wether you serve God well, or you die. There are people who sign contract with evils for them to have money: More often they have an amount of people they should kill each year, but they don't kill these people with guns, they send bad spirits to kill them. When that person dies, they take his soul from the grave and make him/her work for them. They sent 7 bad spirits to kill someone in my house. The spirits got through her, coz she wasn't stable in God, but we prayed for her and she was heal after 21 days of prayer. God is great.

yes

first of all, if anyone believes in God,, the mind will lead to only one God defined by Islam.
----------------

The totality of truth is ultimate reality and cannot be knowny by human mind. This is fundamenal result of modern logic established in last century and known as Gadal proof. where Gadal pointed out that human mind reasons by starting Axions, and from axioms you build theorms and you reason thereby. You cannot capture any system of logic all of the truth. Its like a self destructing mechanism e.g. if someone told you he had a phonograph which could reproduce every sound.. if it can reproduce every sound than it can produce the very sound which will cause vibration that will shake it into pieces . Logic works the same way......

You cannot capture all the truth or the whole system fall down. That is the limitation of human mind and for that reason in ISLAM we say that God is realilty and he is just outside of what we totally know and for that reason, he did not reveal himself ,, but HE revealed HIS will.

Now.. eve the scientists agree with this idea that God is beyond the space-time dimensions.

"... if there were a complete set of laws, that would infringe God's freedom to change his mind and intervene in the world. It's a bit like the old paradox: Can God make a stone so heavy that he can't lift it? But the idea that God might want to change his mind is an example of the fallacy, pointed out by St. Augustine, of imagining God as a being existing in time: time is a property only of the universe that God created. Presumably, he knew what he intended when he set it up! " [Page 176, "A brief history of Time" by Stephen Hawkings]
Now how do we arrive that Islamic concept of God… lets go step by step
God cannot be more than ONE because if there were many gods besides God, then there would not have been such order in the universe, and each god would have taken away what he had created, and some would have lorded it over others. If there would have been many gods then each god would try to defeat others to establish his rule.

God has to be Eternal then otherwise He would have a beginning. Suppose, we say God had a beginning, then there was a time when God did not exist. It means that he needed somebody else to make him exist. So there is somebody else who is God, not him. but as we agreed that there is only one God, therefore, there is no one else who make Him exist. When we say that God cannot be born, we are also saying that a creator cannot becomes his creation, because creation means what is in need of a creator. To be a creature, mean there had to be someone to create you. So if God becomes his creation, it means now he is in need of a creator. And this is absurdity! As we know, A creation is not eternal. An eternal being is uncreated. We can conclude that the one God who is uncreated, has to be Eternal.
It follows by logical necessity that if God is one, and if He is eternal, Then obviously He does not beget , Nor is he begotten. Because if He beget, then He will have a child and the child will have to be God-like. So there will then be two Gods, because "the son of a man" is "a man", "the son of a horse" is "a horse", but natural son of God should have to be a God. Since we agreed that there is only one God, you cannot have two. Some Christians say that Jesus and father are one God. This is again illogical claim, because If God is the Father and also the Son, He would then be the Father of Himself because He is His own Son. Moreover, If Jesus was begotten, then it means that the father is more eternal than him and more greater than him. That means you have greater God and lesser God. And "one God" cannot be greater or lesser than Himself.
OR If he was begotten, that means he would have father. Then the father will be older than him and more eternal than him. and we cannot have one who is more eternal than "ETERNAL"
The LITERAL "son of God" has to have both of two Characteristics.
1. He must have come from God OR He must have receive his life from God.
2. He must be the same kind of being as God otherwise he is not the son.
But each attribute excludes the possibility of the other.
If he receives his life from God, then he is not the same kind of being as father because God does not receive His life from anyone, that's why He is God.
If he is the same kind of being as God, then he is NO ONE'S son, because God is not the son of any being.
We see now that the two requirements in this case are Mutually exclusive. In Short, It is IMPOSSIBLE that God can LITERALLY have a son.
What I get from this word "divinity" is that a divine being has to be Eternal and all -powerful and all-knowing. secondly only God is divine, because Man don't have any divinity in them. Divinity is something which cannot be given , because of what divinity is. Divinity is what a being always had and always will be. One who is divine is always been divine and he cannot stop being divine because of what we mean when we say "divine" and a being who has a beginning cannot be divine. because the criteria of being divine is to be eternal. This excludes the notion of claim of divinity of any created or mortal being, therefore its not right to say that God gave little bit of divinity to humans.
God is not WHAT He is , but WHO he is. The God is unique, there has ever been only one. God is not a job that different people get. Its not a coat which can be taken on and taken off. A person can change his name, it doesn't matter, he is still WHO he was before. That’s what Islam believes in .
The most concise definition of God in Islam is given in the four verses of Chapter 112 of the Qur’an:
"Say: He is God, The One and Only. "God, the Eternal, Absolute.
"He begets not, nor is He begotten. And there is none like unto Him."
[Quran 112:1-4]
This is the God which we have discover through reason.

I hope this is enough logical proof.

"O mankind! Verily there hath come to you a convincing proof from your Lord: For We have sent unto you a light (that is) manifest. " Quran 4.174
quran is the word of God

sincerely Taimur

No religion is the correct one, and all religions have got it wrong.

There are many major religions in the world, such as Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Sikhism, Judaism, and so on. Within each major religion there can also be many minor religions. For example, within Christianity there is Catholic, Protestant, Anglican and so on. Within Islam there is Shiite, Sunni etc.

In summary there are many hundreds of different religions in the world all with their devoted believers and followers. Talk to any devout religious person and they will almost emphatically insist that their religion is the right one, it’s fact, and any non-believer is doomed.

Commonsense and logic would suggest that if there was any truthful or factual basis to religion, then only one of these religions could be correct, not all of them. However, in my view, it’s highly unlikely that any of these man-made religions bear any resemblance to fact or the truth, and are more likely to be the result of simplistic human intelligence looking for an escape from reality.

All religious preachers just pump their one theory (God exists) down our throats.

When the science community makes a discovery or modifies a theory they publish a paper for all to view, speculate on, and debate. Invariably such discoveries open up our simplistic minds and expand our horizons. Examples would be the works of Einstein and Hawking, to name a very small sample.

So why do preachers have to continually pump their one theory (God exists) down our throats. Why do they stand on street corners and hand out leaflets, yell at passers by, gather huge crowds and push unsuspecting victims over in the belief they will be cured of whatever mental or physical ailment invades them, if they just believe in the theory of God.

Why can’t the believers of religious theory just behave in a decent manner, in much the same way as the scientific community does. The answer to all of these questions is simple. They know their theory of God is wrong, and saturation mental and verbal bombardment is the only way they can convince people, and they do it directly or indirectly for money.
