My previous question seemed to get people going, so here's the next question.
I am frustrated by watching people throw away their health. Smoking also bothers me, but unhealthy eating is what I am focusing on. My mother is in a wheelchair due to no fault of her own. She does a good job of taking care of herself but nothing she can do will give her her healthy body back. Nothing pis ses her off more than a fat person with a disabled parking permit. She would give anything to have the body of an obese person because they have the power to make themselves healthy, as difficult as it may be, and she does not. So, be grateful if you have the power to make yourselves health. I am just glad that I can walk. My question; Why is America giving up its power to be healthy? I know people can be overweight and healthy. I am talking about the unhealthy weight problems. Yeah, people can do to themselves as they please, it is just so frustrating to watch it from my prespective.

First off, I feel sorry for you that you feel the need to judge people by their food choices and their looks. I agree, it is a shame that people are purely too lazy to pick up a stalk of celery instead of a bag of Cheetos or a crate of water instead of a 12 pack of soda. However, there are many predetermining factors that are sometimes able to be considered. Health and genetic conditions, stress!, depression, chemical imbalances, and thyroids, just to name a few. Your mother needs to get over being bitter over fat people, as well as you. My boss has a hc placard because she has fibromyalgia. She's fit, in shape. An obese person could have the same thing, but I'm sure your mother would still get all huffy about it. I'm not overweight, and my cart is 95% low-fat, and healthy foods, but have you ever shopped for healthy foods? 1 organic can of soup can cost up to $3, wheat pasta, wheat bread.....all cost more than the simple way out. Some people of lesser means may not have the luxury to buy ALL of the healthy stuff. I think a lot of the problem is that people are "too busy" and lazy to want to make a change. It's just easier to stay fat.

One woman I work with is 31 y/o. She has several health conditions including scoriasis....and it's in her scalp. It's really freaking disgusting and she told us that if she eats healthier and takes care of her body better, it will start to clear up and be less noticable. What does she come in to work with every morning? A cup from McDonald's, Hardee's, BK, or wherever. I have sat and told her what I eat, what I drink. She listened. Did she take my advice? No, I've seen her come in to work the past week with greasy hasbrowns and ate an entire box of Twinkies in 3 days.

My advice is to not worry about it, and you can't do a damn thing to change it. It's really a fast food nation. Fast food is quick and convienent and it's a guilty pleasure that people, obviously, have become addicted to. Get over it, you have so many better things to focus on, I'm sure.

I have always been thin and muscular (teen bodybuilder) (now 50 years old), never tried drugs and never drank alcohol. But I know everyone is not like me. Potato salad and 100% whole wheat bread are loaded with corn syrup so they are junk foods. It makes more money for food companies to have addictive foods and people be obese and eat a lot. See "Prescription for Happiness" on below site to see what I got into instead of foods and alcohol.

Diets do not work. 99% of people gain the weight back. Here is how it works. No one teaches the animal what to eat and what not to eat. He knows instinctively what to eat. Humans also have the same instinct. The way it works is just eat whatever tastes good and that will be healthy for you and non-fattening. That is why a baby tastes everything. So again whatever tastes good, is good for you. This is why you will spit out spoiled milk.

But wait!!! Man has the technology to create rat poison. It tastes like healthy food (good taste) but kills the rat. So man has done that to you. Note- any food unaltered by man (uncooked) that tastes good, is good for you. So if you are stranded in the woods, that is how you know what to eat (cooking changes that). So man has created fake fruit. It tastes like fruit that exists in nature but it is terrrible for health, addictive and fattening called sweets.

So it is natural to like real sweets called fruit, like a baby does, but they have fooled you just like the rat. But they do not want to kill you. They want you to become obese so you will buy lots of their foods. This is called GOOD BUSINESS. Remember the above (not on site) and see site below to re-learn how to eat so you can be thin and fit for life.

Unless they are hurting you, what people do with their lives, be it healthy or unhealthy, really isn't any of your business. I lost over 100 lbs (naturally, no surgery) in four years, and have kept it off for the last fours years.

One of the things that makes overcoming something as difficult as having a serious weight problem all the more difficult is trying to deal with viewpoints of people such as yourself. If you've never had a weight problem, you don't have a clue as to why people can find themselves with one, and how extremely difficult it can be to overcome a weight problem.

Believe it or not, the vast majority of us are just doing the best we can. No one just wakes up one day and says, "...I think I'll try to develop a serious weight problem." "...I think I'll try to work my way up to smoking two or three packs of cigarettes a day." "...I think I'll try to become an alcoholic." Life can be devastatingly difficult sometimes, and, just trying to hang on for dear life, it's easy to reach for unhealthy ways of trying to cope.

I find your judgemental nature really annoying.

See where you are coming from.

My pet hate is seeing all those very obese children who will almost certainly die young or suffer terrible ill health. Surely the parents should be charged with child neglect or attemted murder and the children be taken away to live a healthier and better life!

humm, i'm so sorry but i don't understand...but i think if "fat" people have the power to change there weight then they should...but at the end of the day...it's there choice...they have the choice..unlike your mother would can't or its extremely hard for her to losse wight due to her disablility...some people like being fat so at the end of the day... everyone is different and if they choose to loose weight then great..but if not its there problem!! hope this helps !

why don;t you do something about it? use yourlife to help these clueless fat people? educate them and teach them. you expressing yourself here is not gonna do you good..start with your neigbourhood. talk to them. ask them why what how..... if you really have that frustration, turn it into passion. they need you..am sure they do. go on use your life to make others live healthier....that is a mission babes!

Being underweight isn't any healthier.
