I could easily ask the question "Why are you stupid people stupid?"
For some people, it's just the way it is. Maybe they don't have enough money to buy the best foods. Maybe they don't have the energy after working all day to exercise. Maybe they're lazy. I'd say most fat people I know don't enjoy being fat. Sometimes it's just genetics, or hormones, or physical conditions. Maybe they have a bad knee or a bad heart. I have a condition similar to diabetes so I have poor insulin resistance, so I have to work twice as hard on diets or with exercise to lose even a little weight.
Questions like this upset me. How come there aren't questions like "Why are skinny people so stupid? They're starving themselves and will surely die. They look ugly and disgust me when I see them in stores. Why don't they just eat a sandwich? Are they too lazy to pick up their arms and make one?"

I used to be obese so I can tell you honestly it's part physical (genetics/metabolism) and part emotional (stress eating). It's also about addiction to certain foods. I will always have to eat in moderation, or completely avoid, certain foods because when I eat them I can't stop. I have found ways to cope with stress without turning to food as much and now I'm so happy being smaller that it encourages me to stay away from old habits. But, believe me, nothing is more discouraging than thinking wow I have to lose 50+ lbs. I think, at least for me, it feels so difficult and overwhelming and you can't imagine living without your comfort foods. So a lot of heavy people stay stuck until they're ready to make a change.

Good job asking. And someone a few posts above mentioned their struggles with weight loss, and that is so great that you took on something so difficult. But, but, but, all of these excuses that people make.. The Statistics! 30% of the population in Mississippi is OBESE, not overweight, OBESE!! Colorado has the fewest obese people at 16% of the population, but that is still a lot. You cannot tell me that 20% of the population has gland/hormonal/genetic problems. Again, I am not talking about healthy overweight people, we are talking about obesity. What is going on? what are people thinking?

why are you a insensitive little prick?
some people have gladular problems tht makes them that way.
Others may have had major surgery and that has altered them to this size.
People all have feelings. So tell me what is your reason for being ignorant?

Because places like McDonald's and El Rey De Hamburguesas are in existance.

They just can't help themselves.

At least they can order a 1000+ calorie meal, and feel good about it because they order.....a diet coke.

Some have a genetic problem, and some over eat.

Their ugliness is on the outside.

Yours is on the inside.

The person inside is what truly matters.

laziness...and the t.v...the usual excuses....
there's probably a deeper reason, like how someone's raised...
like if you don't see your parents work out, you probably won't either? not sure...
