Jesus said, "He that believes and is baptized shall be saved". (Mark 16:16)

As you pointed out, some say you are saved before or without baptism. In essence they say, he that believes and is saved shall be baptized.

This is not the same thing Jesus said. This is not in the same order.

If Jesus had meant "He that believes and is baptized shall be saved", what would he have said? I believe he said what he meant and meant what he said! I believe Jesus! "He that believes not shall be damned!" (Mark 16:16)

In fact, every example of the conversion of a sinner recorded in the New Testament after Jesus made this statement, specifically mentions baptism. Faith, Love, Grace, Mercy, Repentance, and Confession are not mentioned in every example, even though they all are necessary for salvation, but baptism is mentioned every time!

Also, no convert either ate, drank, or slept until he was baptized. It was always immediate! This shows the importance of this step in the plan of salvation.

Baptism is "for the remission of sins" (Acts 2:38) and puts us "into Christ" and "into his death" (Romans 6:3-4, Gal. 3:27, Col. 2:12). When we contact his death, we contact and our souls are washed in his saving blood, because that is where that blood was shed.

Many verses talk about the blessings "in Christ", but the only verses that use the phrase "into Christ" say we are "Baptized into Christ". To leave out baptism, is to leave out the step where we get "into" Him. We cannot be saved outside of Christ!

I ASK YOU TO PLEASE RE READ YOUR BIBLE.
first of all which Peter first or second,

1st Peter 3:11 reads thus Let him turn away from evil and do good;
Let him seek peace and pursueit,

2nd Peter 3:11 speaks of The day of the lord.

If you speak of Baptisum in 1st Peter you will find it in verse
1 Peter 3:18-21
Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the spirit:21.The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh but the answer of a God) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
this is Speaking of the Christian Baptism.
In other words when we accept Christ as our savior we are then to be Baptised in water as to die to our old self , and rise to the new life in Christ , as a Christ died for us.and did rise on the third day on all his glory.

While we should preach that all men are commanded to repent and be baptized (Acts 2:38), adding any other requirement to salvation by grace becomes "works" in disguise. Even though numerous Scriptures speak of the importance of water baptism, adding anything to the work of the cross demeans the sacrifice of the Savior. It implies that His finished work wasn’t enough. But the Bible makes clear that we are saved by grace, and grace alone (Ephesians 2:8,9). Baptism is simply a step of obedience to the Lord following our repentance and confession of sin. Our obedience— water baptism, prayer, good works, fellowship, witnessing, etc.—issues from our faith in Christ. Salvation is not what we do, but Who we have: "He that has the Son has life" (1 John 5:12). See Acts 2:38 footnotes.

No, not saved through Baptism. It's a mere ritual with which you show the people you accept Jesus as Lord.

Read what the bible says in John 3:16:
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on him should not perish, but have eternal life (American Standard Bible)

It says: believe in Jesus. Not: baptise thyself

Did you notice that baptism is only a "figure": a sign or a symbol.

And that true salvation is NOT the washing of the flesh, but IS a good conscience before God?

Being Baptized in the water is just an outward expression of what you believe. It says in the Bible that if you believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord than you shall be saved. So if you believe that, then Baptism is just another step to take.

Peter grew to become into show in his words baptism saves us now. we are able to nonetheless squander the present of salvation via dishonoring the baptismal vows, yet baptism is the gateway to salvation. i'm able to in no way believe how many human beings advance the thief. we can't be responsive to if he grew to become into or grew to become into not baptized. We do be responsive to for specific tho, that John, Jesus and the 12 have been baptizing for a protracted time in the previous the crucifixion. we can't say for specific that he grew to become into not baptized. notwithstanding if he weren't, Christ could have granted him absolution on the go. Why won't be in a position to human beings see that? Christ Himself advised us we could desire to be born lower back of water and the Holy Spirit, it is obviously baptism. the place do the get various those option meanings from? under no circumstances from the Bible. Pax Christi.

sorry I can not read that clearly but it is babtism of the holy spirit that saves

2 peter 3 10But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything in it will be laid bare.[a]

11Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives 12as you look forward to the day of God and speed its coming.[b]That day will bring about the destruction of the heavens by fire, and the elements will melt in the heat.

and 1 peter 3 10For,
"Whoever would love life
and see good days
must keep his tongue from evil
and his lips from deceitful speech.
11He must turn from evil and do good;
he must seek peace and pursue it.

I can not see what you are posting at all ??????

Being Baptized is only a symbolic expression before God and Man that you are stating that you are a Christian but it does not neccessarily mean that you are saved because its based on what you believe. If you go through the acts and don't believe than its useless. You are saved when you take Jesus into your heart and believe that he is the Son of God and you ask for your forgiveness.

Dear Holyghost,

Baptism does not save a person. All we have to do is to look at the thief who put his faith in Jesus on the cross. Jesus assured him surely you will be with me in paradise. Surely this man was not baptized- but repented and put his faith in Jesus. Romans 10:10- tells us that we confess with our mouth and we believe with our heart.

A believer should be baptized after having received Christ as a matter of obedience, but not for salvation.

Hope that helps,

Nickster
