Human nature I guess... We're all egotists deep down but, the good guys are those who are able to keep their selfish tendencies under control.

Because that's what society has come to. Everybody wants everything right now, everything is me, me me and no one wants to take responsibilities for their actions anymore. Comes from the friggin lawyers that will sue for you, look at the cigarette settlements, don't we have a mind and make it up ourselves whether we smoke or not, are the tobacco companies responsible for our free will. And so the beat goes on, now everybody wants a free ride. The north American continent is a very spoiled continent.
