I can't say that I ever said that, but I am pro-life. I don't necessarily agree with the death penalty, but I do feel that the statement "an eye for an eye" is right on the money.

I don't agree with those who say a baby is not really a baby when it is only a few weeks gestation. I think that a baby is a baby from conception. They have the right to life. If a person doesn't want to be a parent, there are numerous people out there who would jump at the chance to adopt that baby.

Anyone who has intercourse knows that even using birthcontrol methods that are available, there is no 100% form of birthcontrol. At least I hope they know this. So anyone who is having intercourse, should think about whether or not they would be prepared to carry a child or father a child at that point in their lives.
I believe that every child conceived has a purpose in life, and who are we to decide to take an innocents life.

I personally know of at least one case where the mother got pregnant too soon after a c-section, and both she and the fetus would have died if she hadn't had an abortion. The mother lived on to have another child. That child would not be here if the mother had died. So which one would you choose to have? The dead, non-aborted child (with no chance for the birth of the sibling), or a baby that was able to come to term normally and life a full life?

If this is the religion and spirituality forum, and it is appropriate to debate abortion here, then abortion seems to be considered a religious question.

Given that, then abortion should not be banned, as that would be imposing the religious beliefs of one group on another. Shouldn't we have separation of church and state? (And yes, I am a Christian).

No one has an abortion just for sh*ts and giggles. I would never, ever, wish that someone's mother had been the position of having to choose between an abortion and an unplanned, unwelcome child.

The term Pro-life is such bullsh*t.

Do you support the death penalty?
The majority of christians do.
Do you support the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan?
10s of thousands have died.

Abortion is not a battle between Pro-life and Pro-choice, but anti-Choice and Pro-Choice.

If you are not pro-choice, then you wouldn't mind if you had the freedom to choose your (hairstyle, religion, politics, etc) taken away from you.

There are many pro-choicers that would never abort a pregnancy themself. But they understand that part of being American is not to take that freedom of choice away from their fellow Americans.

I'm pro-choice and if someone said that to me, it would just show me their rudeness and inability to have a mature conversation. If my mother had aborted me, I wouldn't be here to be bothered by it, so what?

What an ugly thought - and if you were so pro-life how could you even think of wishing them dead? I'm thinking you're a bit two faced.

I never said it, but I know some pro-life people that should have been aborted.

BTW, I am pro-choice, and I do support the death penalty.

I would never say that to anyone. Pro life here too.

no, and it shows how twisted the minds of some pro-lifer's really are. just because you're unwilling to make choices for yourself, you have no right to tell others what to do with their bodies.

...oh, and if my mother aborted me, i wouldn't know would I? and you wouldn't have to listen to pro-choicers anymore. wouldn't be great if all opinions that dont agree with yours could be snuffed out? yeah, I bet you'd like that. fascist.
