It's soda, my boyfriend calls it pop. He's from Ohio and I'm from NY. He also said that people in Texas sometimes call it coke. Like he worked at restaurant and asked for a coke and then he would bring them a coke and they would be like I asked for a sprite. Everyone should call is soda, because pop or soda pop is just too dorky.

Don't know about other areas, but I know for sure it's Pop in Buffalo, NY and Pittsburgh, PA.

it's soda in Baltimore City. I worked with a girl from Chicago and it was pop. She asked me once if I wanted a pop and thought she wanted to hit me.
off the topic she called a sticky apple and taffy apple.
