what are they called ewtn or tbn or cbn or something? why are they so stereotypical with the catholic channel having a bunch of nuns and priests talking in monotones and the christian channels with a bunch of televangelists jumping around and their wives with huge hair and a face buried in makeup? is it budget or what? why wouldn't they want to have more interesting programming? you know, so they can actually spread the word to an audience.

i like that john hagee i think he is on one of those channels i bought one of his books
im not christian but really like people who are enthusiastic about a subject and are knowledgeable in it

I personally like EWTN. They have a wide variety of programs. Yes, they have prayers like the mass and the rosary, but they also have programs for kids like "adventures in oddessey" and talk shows about the faith like "Life on the Rock" or "The world over" They are not stereotypical whatsoever. yes there are monks and nuns, but it's monks and nuns that keep the programming going.

EWTN was started by a Nun named Mother Angelica. As to the others I do not watch them. Those of us who are Catholics like EWTN just the way it is.

People go to EWTN for the plain truth. I'm tired of Catholics who water down our religion just to make it entertaining. I watch other channels for that. I go to EWTN for real religious teaching.

Rather than focus sing on the manner in which these people talk, you should listen to the words they are saying....Do this and you will find religious programing's redeeming value.
