Excellent question. My hair pro told me it was stress and lack of vitamins, but, in watching Oprah...perimenopausal symptom will lose hair, turn gray/white, night sweats, mood swings, irregular heart beat(hypertension~high blood pressure), head aches, fatigue, los of concentration, sex drive decline, irregular periods(light to heavy or visa verse, cramping or not) sleep disorders~insomnia. I am 43 and have been losing my hair in BIG GLOBS when I wash my hair. I used to have a thick head of hair, not no more. I first blamed hereidity on it, being I take after my Dad, and he is nearly bald. The best thing I can suggest is a visit to the OB-GYN and straighten out the hormonal inbalance. If you can document all the changes and when they first appeared and what time of the month or after you have eaten what, that triggers the symptom(s), will help them, alot .They can do that with a simple blood test to see what's up! Perimenopause can happen up to 13 years before menopause, and you think you are losing your mind! Good luck to you!

no! you will probably have have to pick atleast one of the two. you are probably going through one of the biggest times in your life when body chemicals effect tour hair growth and cause alepecia , also, if one of your parents or grand parents suffered through hair loss you most likley will too even if your a woman.
also, check any medications you might be taking this can affect your problem too! good luck!

uh probably get some shampoo that volumizes the hair or go see a specialist in hair that can tell you what is going on.
