Question for people who accuse other people of mocking God?

Question

Do people who accuse other people of mocking God know how arrogant that sounds?

There are people who actually believe God is a female. That is not mocking your belief, thats a completely different belief than yours.

Some of us actually understand that you can have your belief and that others can have their beliefs, how come you never see wiccans ever saying to people who ask questions about Jesus, don't mock God shes a woman.

Its only Christianity that does this stuff. Why. What is it about Christianity - if its not a cult - that makes it such that its followers don't respect any one elses believes and automatically from some

I just think that with as logically screwed up as the Bible can be, either God has one crazy sense of humor or is just plain nuts.

I understand where you are coming from, same people that say who they think is good enough to come to their church also said that I wasn't because my hair was too long and that is a sin.
First off my long hair is only to my dishonor and not a sin, but if a point of contention there is not such practice.

Many so-called Christian claim something that they don't even follow themselves, Fact. Many make judgments of others and are guilty of the same thing. They don't even read the Word that they Claim to believe. They don't live the live modeled by Jesus. So who is really mocking God????

Can one claim to be a Christian and mock God, well the fact is that happens more times than not. When they judge others under the law then they condemn themselves under the same law. Without love then their truly no faith. Mocking God can happen many different ways and many times by those who are pointing their finger at others.

Thank you for adding some not all :) The people who accuse others of mocking God, I would say that some of them are sincere in what they say, defending their beliefs as best they can, while others are just close-minded and don't appreciate that God has a sense of humor(or else He wouldn't have given us one), or they have not been around this section of Y!A to realize that there is laughter and light-heartedness here too :)

Speaking for myself, I really try to be sensitive to other peoples choices with respect to their beliefs in any religion or "choice of non-religion" - I'm up on the diversity gig. Religion is personal; it is a private relationship that is yours and it is only up to each individual if, how much and when to share this with someone. Sometimes it's hard to understand other religions when we don't know much about it.

As for being a Christian, I know that I am encouraged in the Bible to reach out to everyone; and we're even told in the Bible that not everyone will "hear God's word" and I'm even cool with that. BUT we don't know until the opportunity arises and we share. It's kind of like not knowing your favourite food until you tried it.

I'm sorry you've had some bad experiences.

OK I am a Christian, Missonary Baptist (religion), What people need to understand is not to judge people by what their religion is. Just because I'm Baptist, I don't think I'm the only one going to heaven. As for mocking God, It is in the Bible (no matter what religion) that it was a sin to mock him. That doesn't mean you may go to hell for it. Jesus said for ALL to come to him that are heavey laden and he would give you rest. In John 3:16 He said "that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever, believed in him he would give him eternal life". Becoming a Christian is easy, all you have to do is believe that God sent his son to die for our sins. Because we all sin daily, none of us are at all perfect, but Jesus died for us because he loves us! As a Christian it is not our right to judge, That's God's right!! He created us! We are his children. So if God is our Father... Well, would you mock your earthly mom and dad and talk about them the way you talk about someone who died for you? Do you know anyone else that loves you that much?

I can respect a Wiccan for believing in a goddess. I don't see that a mockery. I'm saddened by it, but accepting of it. 'Tis their choice to accept Christ, or not to.

The difference lies in questions like "If Jesus was a woman, can I have an immaculate conception with her?" or "What's the best way to commit blasphemy of the Holy Spirit, because I want to do that", or in additional details like "Are Christians really that evil that if I prove the Bible is a man made lie, they will attempt to kill me?".

I cannot stand by and idly watch someone mock God, or speak out of ignorance or stupidity (in the most literal sense of both words... either out of ignoring what is truth, or not knowing what is truth).

Atheism does it as well. However, they don't feel as if when we speak against evolution or the big bang, we're doing it to mock them, Darwin, or nature... but rather, they outright happily call us uneducated idiots (and I'm fairly sure that the first thought that crosses your mind as you read that is, "that's because you are", therefore further proving my point).

Look, if someone thinks Jesus would like McDonalds, and I think He'd like Sonic's... that don't make one iota of difference. But when someone says a bold-faced lie about my loved ones, my Savior, my God, I'm not gonna put up with that. The truth *has* to be known, or else all that will remain is lies.

And I don't care one bit if it sounds arrogant. If you loved someone, would you not stand up for them if they were verbally attacked? If a mob of people stood up to your face and degraded your family's parentage, and word got around about it... would you continue to let the rumor spread, or would you try to put a stop to it? If word got around that your child isn't really yours, would you set the record straight, or would you let everyone believe how easy your wife is?

...and then you are further mocked, as they call you arrogant for standing up for your loved ones, instead of allowing them to spread their lies and continue to make fun of them at their leisure.

Do you see where I'm coming from?

I really think u and many others are looking too deep into this question and making in much more complicated then it really is. According to the bible Israel=God's chosen peeps. God=Jesus God created the world so he is the one true ruler of it. See I told u its pretty simple.
