Are Christians allowed to wear tank tops?

Question

What kinds? Wide-strapped? Spaghetti? Halters? Tube-tops?
This was a question brought up by a friend, for whom I had no certain answer. Thanks!

Dress for the ocasion.

It all depends on what ocasion are you in and you dress to suit the ocasion.

For example, if you are sun-bathing, what do you wear?

You certainly do not wear the same to school, or to an elegant dinner.

Problems arise when some Christians wore tank tops to church. It just doesn't suit the ocasion. Church are not pubs, it is a place to worship God. So, take away modern fashion and dress up sensibly with respect.

It has to feel the respect and honour. When you feel right, then it's the right dress :)

The whole purpose of Public Education is to indoctrinate you into becoming a future slave to the Banker-Criminals who increasingly run the World (and take our tax money). My proposal is that we should only have a three day public school week. The only reason for a five day school week is because once upon a time the factories typically worked Monday through Friday, and they took Saturday and Sunday off. Now that de-industrialization has taken place over the last thirty years, and the factories have been shipped to China where slaves make the products instead of free and independent minded people in America, that no longer makes any sense whatsoever. So why is school five days a week instead of four days a week or even three days a week??? Most of the time at college there is only three days given for a particular class, because it is thought that the other days a person can study. So what is school trying to prepare you for??? To work at a factory that no longer exists (at least it does not exist in America any longer). So you might want to consider that, and ask yourself a question. What are you doing in school that is going to directly help you and your future??? And don't say that you are learning, because you can learn a lot better and a lot less expensively by picking up a book and then reading about whatever subject you are interested in. Public Schools for kids is largely a scam now days, whose purpose no longer exists. But I suppose adolescents need to be taught to be able to fill out their welfare applications. There is that I suppose. Obviously you should be allowed to wear anything that you want. That is what a free person does. But you aren't a free person are you??? The time to start thinking for yourself is now. The sooner that you do that, the sooner that you can escape the insane paradigm that you are now in. God bless.

Just by needing to ask this question means the Holy-Spirit is telling you something is wrong. You shouldn't wear anything that reveals part of your breasts or cleavage. If you cause a man to look and lust for you it is a sin for you both. The bible does say a few things about how a woman should dress all the time.1st Peter,chapter 3 verses 3 and 4 says any outward adornment like plaiting the hair or wearing gold is forbidden. This means ear-rings,lipstick,and eye make-up. I think tank tops are pretty on women,and I see many that I have impure thoughts about,but when I do I know I am sinning. You will know it too. From here on out,every time you wear something revealing the Holy-Spirit is going to whisper,and remind you. This is good to know you have someone watching out for you and giving wise council.God really does care what you wear. Beware people who say otherwise. They are deceived.

Whatever you wear has nothing to do with your faith. If that was true then only people who could afford clothing would be "true" to their God(s). I do think you should be respectful and respectful to the event and people around you. If you are going to a wedding, a two piece with a thong, may not be appropriate, just guessing on what type of wedding it is. I am in my early 30's and the GOD I love, doesn't care what I wear. I do have a 13 year old gorgeous step daughter. She knows that it's not GOD that cares, but the environment and atmosphere she will be in that will judge her appearance. Hope this helps. I personally don't wear them because if you are saved then it says that you are in the world but not of the world, so you have to do the necessary things to live,but as far as dresscodeI dont want to look like the world- in the word it said You put a Difference between Holy and unholy, unclean and Clean- so if God told me to put the difference, when I go out places, people will know that I'm different, that there is something about me thats not like every other woman they see- something different but special.

There is nothing in the Bible that states what Christians are or are not allowed to wear. Some christians may deem certain articles of clothing inappropriate, but these are not based on religion, but rather what prudish clergy members would like to mold their perfect society.

There are no "Christian Wardrobe Police", you can wear what you want, but try to be modest in dressing. I think a tank top that covers up the essentials, with a bra is appropriate!

I think you can wear what you want to. If you are a true christian I do not think that god is going to strike you down for wearing a tank top. I wouldnt wear one to church or anything and I wouldnt wear any of the hoochie mama ones eiether.

Christians can wear pretty much whatever. I mean, according to the bible, women are supposed to dress conservatively and not show too much skin, but tank tops are fine.
