i am 17 going on 18 and i weigh 88-91lbs. i want to gain at least 5-10lbs. how can i do it? i dont eat meat..

Like most people say increase your calories. Sounds like you have a really really fast metabolism. You could go to your doctor and get your thryroid function checked. I would suggest taking your bodyweight times 15-16 and thats the number of calories I would start at. Adjust as neccessary. If you have not gained anything after a few weeks increase by 500 kcal per day. I would go for a 40 percent carb 30 percent protein and a 20 percent fat ratio. Eat every 2 to 3 hours. Increase fluids such as H20 to accomodate and help absorb the extra nutrients.

If you really want to gain weight, then the only way to do it is to do strength training combined with an increase in your protein and caloric intake. You will need carbs like pastas to give your body the energy it needs to workout, and the protein to help build muscle, thus adding weight. Since you don't eat meat, I would recommend a protein shake kind of thing that you can get at GNC or even your local Wal-Mart.

High protein low fat calorie dense foods. You want to gain muscle mass,, not clog your arteries

To be honest,, give yourself about 5 years. Odds are you'll fill out and gain the weight naturally as most males do

oh my god i really envy you sooo much...anyways there is the one way my Ex used to do he was skinny and wanted to gain weight as he was doing body building too he ****** Oatmeal in full cream milk and added sugar he eats that like three times aday and it worked for him in a healthy way so why dont you try it i hope it'll work for you .

there are a lot of special health drinks available that i know a lot of X-pukers use to put the weight back on...they seem to help, but i dont remember any brand names. remember that working out to gain muscle weight would be good too...

come to my house & eat what I eat, no just kidding

just eat healthy & exercise , don't worry so much once
you have a baby that will all change ( but get married 1st)

if your really worried ask a Dr. for some tips, but DO NOT
take any pills to do it, they could ruin your insides !

junk food like cupcakes and muffins and lots of candy it will work trust me

up your calorie intake.
Don't eat just junk.
Lots of protien and carbs.

anything full of fatt...such as ice cream, popcorn, candy, ensure worked for my friend....
