Being shy is hard. If you really like the guy, find out what he likes and then if you have to, research what he likes. If he likes a certain football team, check out that team on the internet, take notes, and memorize what you learn about the team. If you are really worried about what to say, ask him how his day was and listen!! I think you will do fine. Sometimes, talking is overrated. Good luck. And if you were my kid or niece, I'd be telling you, you're not old enough to be with a 16 yr old on a romantic level. OK??

Start talking about something that you know. If he's interested, he'll pick up on it. That way you're able to hold a conversation on something that you know about? It could be a movie or TV show. Ask him advice on your car, if there was a problem. Or maybe just ask him question on how his day went and go from there. Good luck!!

Find things that you have in common. What kind of music does he listen to? Like any sports? TV shows? Like to play pool, go to clubs? Once you have common ground, the conversation can usually carry over from there. Just relax and be you!

Find out what he likes and work it into a conversation. If your into something, sports, shopping, mall walking, whatever, work it on there and see what he thinks. Ask him about where he bought something he is wearing, make him do some talking too.

OPen communication means that you can feel free to talk about anything or everything and when that is reciprocated in return, then you can truly begin to gain trust with that person.
Talk about what is on your mind today. Know your current events. Talk about women's issues, men's issues, your favorite things you like to do when your making new friends, your most deepest thoughts and questions about men... it can be anything.

Just remember that if you are asking him questions..he is answering aka he is doing lots of the talking...so you can't go wrong with asking questions. here are some examples of what to talk about (places you've been, places you want to go, family, friends, food/resturaunts, activities you want to do like waterski, etc., your fav tv show, school, work, likes/dislikes)...hope this helps!
