Tell the boss, especially if others know the stander is weird.. Let the boss "discover" him at the desk, by sneaking up from behind and watching a minute, and have him/her tell him to get back to work. If the guy is unbalanced, make sure the husband and kids know his face, and be careful in the parking lot, and at home. Don't want to scare you, but it pays to be careful. Make sure you are not being watched or followed there. If you are, call the cops, and report him.
And it may pay off to document his behavior, for the boss or the cops. Time, date, amount of time being spent just standing there, write down everything. If he is inapproprite, write that down, too. Don't say anything to anyone, and do not let him see, jot down the time he shows up and again when he leaves, and slide it under something, and get the documentation sheet out later.
Hope this helps, good luck, and be careful.

1. You need to speak with your boss immediately about this man. He's stalking you and is abusive. You are trying to do your job & he's acting very bizarre.
2. Tell your boss you are fearful of this man because of his behavior, and ask other employees to back you up that have witnessed this.
3. This is not normal behavior in the work place. If your boss won't help, go to human resources, the union, or a good lawyer. This is causing you mental and emotional distress.
Good luck with warm regards.

Obviously he has decided to ignore the different hints, or he may be just too thick, either way don't worry about his feelings, because he doesn't care about yours. So bluntly tell him, to pls. just leave your are, that he is a disturbance and to not hang around there any more. To start hanging around some of his friends, and that nobody there is anywhere near interested in the minimal interested in him, nor his conversations or company. If doesn't get it after that, call your supervisor or his being that's starting to border maybe into harrassment.

You should sit him down politley just the two of you at opposite sides of ta desk and kindly ask him if he could excuse himself from your desk for a while ,because that it is a disturbance to your work. Suggest maybe get together in a large group with other co-workers and enjoy each other's company in a friendly atmosphere ,but don't exclude him from everything. It's crucial that you just don't cut him out completley friendly interaction is neccesary for the workplace!

Do exactly that, tell him very nicely that you would appreciate it if he would not hang around, if he doesn't quit, then tell your boss that he is annoying you, if that doesn't get the job done, tell them he is violating your space and then if nothing, then the words sexual harassment I think might get someones attention. Good bosses will take care of it at the very first sign that you are uncomfortable, so speak up.

for your sake.... you should not say anything. I would go to your boss and have him deal with it. It's part of HIS job. That way the "dude" doesn't get angry with you. And you can ask to have your name kept secret... that way when your boss talks to this guy... it should be generalized.. so he shouldn't know.. who said he was a complete creapy stalker freak.. and you never know.. if it continues...and since there's been a formal conplaint.. he could get fired... and i'm sure you really don't want him fired..but if it wasn't you it could be someone else.. and that's really not a safe working environment.

"Excuse me, I have some work to do." Then ignore him and turn away. Repeat as necessary.
If this doesn't work, tell your supervisor that it is disrupting your concentration and therefore your work. I bet they will put a stop to it then! :o)
If the staring or conversation is in any way sexually suggestive, tell your supervisor that you are the subject of harassment. This must be stopped immediately.
Good luck!

Can't you go to your boss? I'm sure he doesn't want to pay an employee to hang out at your desk.
