I would like to know what you think about the bible being against gays. I'm not against gays. I have gay friends, and a couple are very religious. I've never had the balls to ask this. I feel, if you believe in him, and you pray to him, does it really matter?

I find the bible interesting, but no matter how one translates or interprets the text, it shouldn't be used to answer all of life's questions. It was written and translated by men, and is read and interpreted by men, and can therefore never reveal any sort of untainted divine truth.

I think that if a person has done good works with out thought of reward either now or here after, then what ever else they are should not matter. And if I am ment to go to a place where my fav uncle is not welcome based on his being gay, yet a person who has done nothing but harm in this world is allowed in just because they are not gay and beleive, then ill take the elevator south thanks.

I'm Christian, and I don't buy into that whole "gays are an abomination" bull. If God planned to make people burn in hell for making a choice he didn't think he was right, he wouldn't give us free will. Period. Also, the God I know is loving and kind, and gays/lesbians are born that way. I can't see him condemning something he created.

GAYS AND LESBIANS ARE NOT BORN THAT WAY it is a curse explained totally in Romans 1, and fasting and prayer will break that curse and allow them to live normal lives if they repent of their sins and ask for forgiveness. Just like any other sinners. Were murders born murders? IT IS A SIN like adultary, murder, etc. NO BETTER NO WORSE

I hope most do the research and realize that the Leviticus stuff is due to the jewish tribes wanting to increase their numbers to fend off their enemies and survive (thereby, divinely mandating procreative sex). Note that its anti-homosexuality proscriptions are alongside 'sins' such as cutting one's sideburns. The anti-gay stuff made it into Romans because Saul of Tarsus (Paul) was raised in the anti-gay culture and his views come across in his letters to the early christian community in Rome.

i don't believe in the bible, i am an atheist. but yes, your point is absolutely correct - it should not matter, as long as one believes in god (from a religious point of view) and is a good person. since coming out is actually being honest with oneself and others, shouldn't that count more with 'em bible thumpers?

God created gays like He created pedo's.
Otherthan that, going the "God is All-Knowing" route: God creates with full knowledge and no ignorance what the subject matter's of what He is creating future will be...not that He might Know....not that He MAY know...He KNOWS.
So, if He doesn't have a ***** about what He was creating...neither should you.

I don't really pray to him.
But I think it should be okay for gays and lesbians to be together.

Yes, it does matter..sin is sin..and He said that sin would not enter in..no matter what kind of sin it is...Sodom and Gamora was filled with sin, and God destroyed the whole thing.

God didn't create man and man or woman and woman..He created man and woman..Adam and Eve. He saw that is was good and perfect.
Man, sin and satan has twisted and perverted everything.
