My girlfriend who I have lived with for a while says that she needs space and I have moved into my dad's house.. I love being with her and I am willing and trying to do whatever it takes make it work out between us, but she wants to spend alot of time together still which would be good, but it reaggrivates the wound in a way.. I enjoy being with her too much to just leave and go home, or split ways all the time.. I told her that if we are going to be on a break then I want it to be a total break. We dont talk or see each other, and when she is ready I will come back. She knows that I am not going to do anything behind her back, and knows that it is her thing to sort out.. It is simply my job to help her have space to think.. Is it selfish of me to not want any time together during the break? She knows that I just get hurt again having to leave after expierinceing what we already had.. I just miss it to much when I am reminded of it..

If she really wants a break, ya'll would not be hangin out so much!!!! Don't let that chick fool you. I'm sorry to say, but whenever someone said break (even when it was me) it was because they (me) were interested in some else....I know living together can take a toll on the relationship and you need breathers, but thats what you have your friend's for, to go out with them to release some of that tension of being together all the time. Truth be told, she is just keeping a leash on you until she's finished doing whatever.

When someone says they need a break it is a break up. They are telling you they are sick of you or they just don't have the same feelings anymore and want to see what's out there.

You did the right thing. Don't be a booty call; she can't have her cake and eat it too. She's either in or out.

Tell her the things the things that you told us, if someone love than they cant be selfish, if they were selfish than they couldn't give love to someone. its matter of time or maybe she loves someone else

It's not unfair of you. if she says she needs space then give her total space. she cant have everything on her own terms.

I think you´re right. WTF is a break for anyway, a prelude to a breakup? I´ve never done this with a woman.....it´s either on or off. Upon reflection, it would appear you are being toyed with bro....
