I have bipolar dis order. Sometimes I hear things that other people don't hear. Could this be a religious phenonana?

My spiritual experiences have consisted of knowing exactly what to do when I was in desperate need, knowing revelation, and knowing the future in detail.....
A big part of a spiritual walk is knowing of something good that is going to happen to help you get through the rough times, but it has to eventually materialize or it is just a delusion....
I have never heard a voice or seen a vision...I am not saying that that could not be for someone else, it's just not happened to me....
In my observation with people with bipolar disorder, they are very spiritually sensitive, but need help getting the kinks worked out so they can stay grounded...and hit the target instead of being a loose canon.

by another reality to you mean like the paranormal or unexplained? For some reason people with varies disorder such as yours are more open and receptive to this type of phenonana. It does not always mean it has a spiritual aspect, however, that does not mean it is demonic either. Listen to what you are being told and try to figure out where it is coming from before you judge. It could be angels, but then again, it may just be ghosts. So long as the messages are helpful and loving, I for one would say accpet them as gifts either way. If they tell you to do harm to yourself or another, then I would tend to say get some help quick.

Some people are more sensitive to the spirit realm around them than others are. The more intellectual you are, the less you are sensitive to it. Bi polar disorder is another thing altogether. It is not a spiritual phenomena, but a chemical one. You have a chemical imbalance. God can heal it of course. I suggest you go to a church that believes in healing and have them pray over you. Very often bipolar people got that way when then started taking a drug or medication they sent them off into bi-polar... If you did not have bipolar as a kid, and you did not have any visions then.... perhaps your phsical makeup is out of balance.

You should read about "Kundalini Syndrome" it is a spiritual affliction, of sorts -- I don't like 'affliction' -- it is just what happens when your kundalini (life force energy) rises too quickly for your physical body to handle and you can experience things like hearing voices and various other physical problems.
It could be a spiritual 'phenomena' or it could be genuine shizophrenia. Don't be too quick, however, to condemn yourself to a mental hospital.
Pay attention to what they are saying. If it is mean, malicious, or angry, it's probably a mental disorder. If it is kind, helpful, or just seems neutral, like people trying to just have a conversation with you, I suspect that you are hearing genuine people, but on a psychic or spiritual level.

In your situation I do not know. I see visions and hear prophecies that are spiritual in nature. So far as tapping into another reality I do not believe so, and my encounters are not religious phenomianl.
