Not that I ever heard of. It must be awful for you but face it he put himself there, he made his choice...what did he think it would be like a trip to disneyland?

At the risk of coming across as a person who doesn't care, I would like to tell you that I DO care.
I'm compelled, however, to remind you that altho your son is YOUR child he is not A child. You told us he is 24 years old.
As to the horror stories; They may quite possibly be real and true. Fortunately, Correctional Officers are trained to deal with these exact threats, let them! On the other hand, your child may be trying to just scare you into having sympathy for him in the hopes you start a ruckus to help, or rescue, him from HIS chosen predicament. Don't!
As to moral support; You are his source for moral support and, as a side, apparently what you've done up to this point in time has not had a positive effect. Seek counseling and try to get real advice from real professionals.
While I am sorry for your situation, and I'm sure you love him, he did this to himself, not you!! In the final analysis this is his problem, let him deal with it. The term that comes to mind is; tough love.

My son was in a correction facility for 18 months, it was not a joy ride, nor should it be. I too heard some horror stories about his stay, but ya know what? It's meant to be hard on them, and the harsher the crime they did to get themselves in there, the harsher the people will be that they are incarcirated with. Believe me, it isnt easy being the parent of an inmate, not knowing if thier safety needs are being met. But I can assure you that the facility is doing everything they can do to keep your son from harm,, but he needs to work hard at keeping himself safe and keeping his nose clean. (If you know what I mean)

My son was recently released after 3 years and he had horror stories too. But he made it through!!!! I worried every day---after all the things shown on TV.
He suffers terrible depression now and I just try to listen and support him.
I wish you the best. I think the parents suffer worse than the incarcerated child. I can't express my devastation when he first went to prison. I'm sure you can understand. Bless you both.

In my state you won't be able to be charged with unlawful conveyance of a controlled substance right into a correctional facility if the police arrest you and take you to detention center and then discover it on your guy or woman whilst being booked. that may not seen voluntary conveyance and, in keeping with the courts, a mandatory factor. Your state might have a various interpretation.

No I dont have a child in but, my god i would hate that. Some of the story i hear are true. A friend always called me when she got out of jail. I was like her mama. Its different for ladys some what but they cell he is in could be a bad one he needs to be with the murderers. Believe it or not they are nicer. I hope nothing bad happens to him. But yes I've heard these horrable stories. He needs to give one person something like food he dont eat. Someone larger than him so they will make sure nothing happens to their free stuff. seriously

Contact the FCN, family and corrections network by googling it. Go from there. So sorry to hear about your troubles and your son's.
